𝗜𝗧 𝗪𝗔𝗦 𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘𝗦 like these Lorelei was thankful for the supernatural. That wasn't something she usually said, but the chaos that surrounded her that usually made her annoyed distracted from the fact that she was actually a teenager. A teenager still trying to get through high school.

She exhaled roughly through her nose erasing furiously at her very wrong answer on her geometry homework. The redhead was hunched over at Ethan's desk since she had to babysit and thought she could get the work done before his parents left.

Lorelei could feel his eyes on the back of her head as she sighed for the umpteenth time. She figured she could ask Ethan for help but was wrong to think she could overcome her stubbornness and actually ask him.

"I can feel you staring." She commented going back to the problem that had stumped her.

Ethan jumped slightly at her comment before clearing his throat. As much as he hated it she still made him nervous. Except for the kind of scared she was gonna snap at him nervous had turned into sweaty palms and heart thumping in his chest nervously.

"Maybe you should take a break?" He suggested. As much as he liked her presence in his room, the simple act of just sharing space, he could see her getting more agitated. "My parents are leaving soon so you'll have to take care of Jane but I can look at the problem and explain it to you later."

Lorelei set her pencil down looking up at him as he approached her. "You don't have to —" She quickly spoke.

Ethan could've rolled his eyes, he had expected her response, seeing as the girl was insanely stubborn. "I want to. I'm going to."

Lorelei raised her eyebrows at his sudden assertiveness before sighing. "Thanks, Benny will be here soon I'm gonna go get water and then go look after Jane." She ran a hand through her hair and stood up. "Thanks, Ethan." She said before walking out of his room.

Lorelei caught the Morgan's on their way out exchanging goodbyes as they shouted to their kids and left for their bowling night. She quickly downed her water trying to shake off the high school stress before making her way up to Jane's room, ready for an uneventful Friday night.
