             𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗪𝗔𝗦 high as Lorelei sat with her arms crossed at the edge of Ethan's bed giving both the boys in front of her a death glare. Benny had texted their group chat for an emergency meeting after school and even though the girl had every intention of ignoring them after the issue at lunch yesterday he had said it was very urgent and very important. Plus her stupid connection to Ethan made it hard for her not to want to check on him.

         Benny had sworn the new cheer they learned today made him feel something and he couldn't ignore it. No matter how much Lorelei scared him.

          "Are you sure it's the cheers making you tingle?" Ethan asked not ready to face Lorelei's anger if she was right about all this. "Maybe it was gas." he offered.

             Benny shook his head. He agreed that he too didn't wanna face Lorelei after he had basically said she was jealous of them but he couldn't ignore the feeling he got. "My tingles are never wrong."

         "And my tingles are?" Lorelei finally spoke up as she got up to join the boys at Ethan's desk where they had a spellbook opened. The feeling of betrayal had never left and even though she tried to show her emotions through anger she couldn't help be feel hurt. They were supposed to be a team. Well, they were trying to be.

             Benny looked up at her with pleading eyes. "I didn't get the tingles until we learned this cheer okay! Look. Forces of nature: earth, air, fire, water. That's what makes a star." He pointed at each corner of a clearly drawn star in his spellbook. "Oh man, this isn't just some chick cheer. I think this is some kind of incantation."

      "No way! " Lorelei's voice dripped with sarcasm as she let the two boys put the pieces together just like she had yesterday.

           Ethan nodded along. "Forces of nature. That's what makes a star. We may look like girls but that's not all we are." They said again letting the spell roll off their tongues.

             It was like a light bulb went off in both of the brains finally and Ethan turned to look at Lorelei. He felt bad. He can't remember what came over him the other day to make him not believe her, but he knew he was going to be apologizing for this slip up for a while. "Is this where you say I told you so?"
