After the last accidental bombshell I dropped on Yuri we continued to talk of things with no real importance for an additional five minutes although we both were slightly apprehensive. Eventually, I got up and offered to take and wash the cutlery and plates. As I went to attend to my Job Yuri set to wrapping the uneaten food in plastic wrap before carefully placing it in her fridge. As I finished stacking the dry dishes into Yuri drawers she motioned me over to her staircase. "Just, follow me up here" Yuri called softly as I proceeded to pursue her up the winding carpeted staircase. At the top of the stairs, I found a long, dim hallway stretching the length of Yuri's downstairs house portion. The hallway had a door a meter down on the left and right before two windows another meter down. Two more doors, two more windows then a large wooden door at the opposite end of the hallway.

As Yuri graciously stepped along the walkway motioning and pausing to describe every door. Motioning first to the left then the right doors every time to began to explain the first left door. "This is my a-attic", "It's mainly just junk a-and stuff," she said in her usual apprehensive and timid tone. "That's the bathroom" Yuri explained again become more confident by the second as is usual whenever she begins to divulge an explanation to others. "That's your bedroom over there. I put a few things in there for you, just like a bottle and a lamp and things" "And this is m-m-..." Yuri's confident demeanor fades at once, but as soon as she realizes her noticeable change she tries to pick herself up.

"M-my study, my study" "and..." Yuri doesn't even glance at the large door at the end of the hall "that's just, my room...". Having finished her house tour or so it seemed Yuri let out a small whine of relief. "You can go to your room if you like" Yuri offered me. "It won't be for long, I-I just need to make dessert downstairs". "You don't need help Yuri?" you ask "I-I, me? I'll be fine" Yuri replies with a little power in her voice. Not wanting to argue and desperately needing a small rest you enter the room as Yuri as if in a hurry rushes downstairs.

Entering the room it contrasts quite nicely with yours at home besides despite being infinity tidier. Breaking down the room it appears visually to be a nice size, while not being large and overwhelming. The walls a cream most likely derived from a blue base with a similarly painted ceiling. The room contains a wardrobe, a large bookshelf, a desk with pens, notes and a lantern, a bedside drawer made of glass and wood with a single drawer.

The room also has your bed which appears to be a thick mattress layered by dark blue checked quilts, a small, self-contained glass chandelier and a window taking up one side of the room, slanted at the top to create a large viewing port. It looks out onto a view of trees, far away street lights and houses making a homey but still expansive view. You also notice a small, neatly wrapped present on the dresser, thinking it would be best to open later you do not touch it, but remark instead at the thought. Having fully examined the bedroom that now gives you envy when compared to your own you proceed to flop on the bed, exhausted from, well, nothing...

Lying on your bed you closed your eyes and listened to Yuri downstairs. It sounded like she was really busy, you could hear the fridge opening and closing and her sucking lots of hurried breaths presumably as she worked. I must have laid on that bed for fifteen minutes before Yuri finally called me to come downstairs. Upon coming down and examining dessert something was of particular surprise. The dessert consisted of a pre-made chocolate cake and a separate dish of strawberries and cream. A large part of me wondered how such a thing could take so long and cause such physical and thus audiological exertion over a period of fifteen minutes. However re steadied by the fact that Yuri can make a task out of anything I took my seat at the table.

Yuri, still reading a book noticed I had arrived, immediately she put down the novel and began consuming her dessert in her standard, miniature mouthfuls. Beginning to eat mine, it was nice indeed with the strawberries being freshly picked and the cakes chocolate moose filling actually tasting of cocoa rather than store-bought-glue. Having fully eaten my dessert washed and packed up my dishes in Yuri's kitchen. I noticed neither of us had actually spoken a word over the course of the dessert. As I looked back at the table I saw Yuri staring out a window, lost in a daydream.

Checking my watch and it reading 8.07 as well as not feeling very tired I decided to watch something on the television. Asking Yuri if I could turn it on I was greeted with a welcoming silence, must be an interesting window I thought. Taking the controls from the top of the television in their ordered, aligned positions. I proceeded to activate the small screen utilizing all four remotes in an almost professional fashion. I tended to watch television a lot and these remotes were all the same as mine at home making my job quite a bit easier. As the TV loaded up for presumably the first time the channel switched to sky, channel 001 before the television's volume began blasting at an ear-shattering percentile.

Like a fighting instinct, I muted all audio stopping the deafening sounds of a pre-recorded cricket game. The volume was in actuality only albeit a tad louder than I am used to listening to. However contrasted with the dead silence of Yuri's house it had been amplified, many times it apparent wavelength. Twisting my head and to no surprise I found Yuri, eyes narrowed and panicked, holding onto her chest for dear life.

~Why is she so cute when she's flustered?

"You, you found out how to turn it on" walking over to the couch Yuri leaded above and beside me not unlike a motherly figure. "Do you want to watch something with me?" you asked, nearly certain she would deny. Instead, she lowered herself onto the opposite side of the couch "sure..." whispered Yuri followed by a sudden bout of silence. Gobsmacked that Yuri of all people has just offered to watch television I skimmed through the channels trying to find something that would suit her. I could see her eyes scanning the screen, overwhelmed with stimulation, reflecting every colour and pattern. Eventually, I settled on Lord of the Rings due to its elaborate fantasy and expansive universe, which by coincidence had just begun.
