The game had not even truly begun yet and I had nearly already lost. Down to 106 dollars things really weren't going so well. I had purchased three greens and a blue and had thus gained a colour set. I began building houses but Yuri didn't seem to be landing on them. Worst of all I kept going to jail meaning the games pace had slowed down terrifically. Yuri concentrated hard before rolling her dice across the table just to collect 200M from a community chest.

After finally breaking out of my prison cell with a double roll I set about moving which unsurprisingly landed me on one of Yuri's properties. For being so delicate Yuri took games seriously, despite me being $100 short Yuri instead took all of my money as well as one of my properties, not even asking my preference before handing the dice back over to me. Judging the way the game was going I didn't hold any grudges as I landed on a super tax and thus conceded.

~That was fun...

I was not overly pleased with my performance especially since I was quite sure no one has ever managed to accidentally lose Monopoly in 15 minutes. Yuri was happy though so I couldn't be in too foul a mood. I packed up what we had left while Yuri (presumably) left to make us a cup of tea. After sliding the box into it's cover and popping It under the table I sunk my cheek into my fist before planning out the rest of the day. I tried to think of something original for us to do but couldn't think of any activity left besides shivering at the fact of cold it is going to be tonight.

As I thought I reminisced back to my last visit to the literature club before coming to a realisation.

I had never seen Yuri's knife collection before.

I had always thought it was a fairly simple thing but part of me could not stop imagining Yuri alone in an armoury of knifes, blades of all sorts lining the walls...

A teacup hovered in front of my face. It was being offered to me by Yuri, her hand shaked as she struggled to hold it at a distance. Quickly I snatched the saucer and positioned the cup into my field of view. I was good at holding such things now. Yuri then retaining her balance stumbled over to the chair oppisite me before gingerly placing the china saucer and cup apon the table.

As I sipped at my tea I held onto that thought of mine. I kind of didn't want to disturb the pace of the afternoon but rather ask later. At least after we had finished tea. To my ultimate surprise Yuri stumbled back over with a packet of biscuits. From what I could see they were made specifically for tea. Not recognising them, yet not wanted to be rude I took two. Yuri on the other hand took five before finally properly settling at the table.

Before I could speak, literally to utter a thank you Yuri pulled the Portrait of Markov out from god knows where and began reading it rather to my disappointment. My idea of talking dashed. I just kept my head down and began to drink my tea. It tasted sweeter than usual with a raisin like flavour. It was quite fruity actually and took on a brown colour with a deep red tint. It also felt like it contained alcohol like rum or something. Otherwise it was quite nice if not a bit too hot for me.

-I didn't think Yuri drank alcohol. I didn't know Yuri was allowed to drink Alcohol! I'm not allowed to drink alcohol!

I glanced over at Yuri and found that three of her five biscuits were gone as well as half her presumed to be alcoholic tea, meaning she had eaten more than I had ever seen her consume in my visit. She was also voraciously sipping her tea, despite the liquid in her cup never having sat, making it a scalding temperature. Since Yuri seemed to like them I tried one of the biscuits. They were nice as well as being buttery and soft, perfect for dipping. I remorse only having taken two.

After finishing my cup of tea I looked up at the mesmerised Yuri once again before burying my head in my hands. It didn't matter if we were doing nothing as long as it was with Yuri. But when she wasn't there it was basically an empty house. I finally conceded to the temptation by treading back to my room and opening my phone. To no surprise I had over 800+ messages missed from the friend group set up by Monika. I didn't check everything but I got the jist of the conversation.

In a nutshell it was Natsuki and Sayori going on about me and Yuri's time together. Basically forcibly making a romance out of our visit. Comments such as "Have you kissed yet?" and short pety rhymes were in no short supply. However scroll past the few 300 making fun of us yet most of the messages were about the snow. It seemed everyone was stuck inside as we were. The last thread of messages was just Monika and Sayori trying to get hold of Natsuki and a bunch of spam asking how I was. The last message sent two hours ago was a lovely message from Sayori "The only thing that could those two quiet for this long is sex... 😁" The thread went quiet after that. I texted a quick message notifying them that I was okay and that I hoped they were too, and that we had definitely not done anything before popping back downstairs.

As I descended I found Yuri sipping the last remains of her tea, book face down. "Are you alright?" she asked me in a moderate tone.

~Strange. When she's gone for a whole afternoon its fine. But when I'm gone for five minutes its all of a sudden worrying... odd.

"I'm sorry for not talking with you earlier, I probably should have waited to read..." Yuri sounded apologetic meaning she knew what she was doing. Whether that made it better or worse I didn't know. Granted it miffed me a slight bit, but that was just my selfish craving for social stimulation. Besides, its hard to be grumpy with someone so delicate as Yuri. "Its alright, I'm fine, I was just catching up with everyone else" I said. Yuri cocked her head as to conversate "Are they all O.K" she inquired with a, sort of regal tone. "Yeah they're fine" I stated, careful to avoid the primary detail of the bulk of the comments.

"Ah, that's good" Yuri sighed, her eyes dancing downwards, evidently feeling relieved. "Alex" she said in another sigh "I know we haven't done much together, and I can't take you anywhere, but is there anything you want to do?" Yuri sounded very fluid and strong this time, almost insisting, odd, for such a light proposition. She stared back at me with almost sad, longing eyes.

I really was quite afraid to ask but seeing as she was inviting me too... Such a thing could never go undiscussed between us.

I opened my mouth and spoke the fatal words, sharp as the edges of which the ideology was inclined.

"Yuri, could I see your Knife collection?".
