how can you just forget? {Jake x Rich}

Jake sat on the edge of his bed. Tears streaming down his face. It's has been a few weeks since the.. Squips.

He was alone. His parents were still on the run. Probably moved away and living somewhere else. His house burned down and he lost everything he had at least Rich was kind enough to let him stay with him.

Jakes legs were still broken and the squip didn't help at all.

But why did he still feel alone?

Slowly he grabbed his crutches on his bed and stood up on them. He limped over to his new dresser and grabbed an old trophy he won. The only thing that wasn't destroyed in the fire surprisely. This was his first one. He remembered that day. His parents coming to see his game. Jake being so happy and winning for the team.

He clenched it in his fists. Only a reminder of what he didn't have now.

He let out a heart breaking scream and threw the trophy to the wall breaking it.

His grip on his crutches loosen and he fell to the ground crying.

"Hey Jake I heard a slam are you o-" Rich said while walking in. His eyes widen in horror as he saw jake on the ground.

"Jake!" Rich yelled as he ran to him and sat on his knees. "what happened? Did you fall? Do you need me to call the hospital?" Can you walk?" Rich asked nervously

"H.. How can you forget.. " He said as he choked back tears.

"W.. What?"

"About everything!" Jake yelled. "All of you act like nothing happened. Just to forget everything happened! But I cant forget! I lost everything! I CANT JUST FROGET THAT!" Jake yelled at rich tears streaming down his cheeks.

Now Rich was the one who was holding back tears. "Jake.. " rich put his hand on jakes shoulder. "Why didn't you say anything to us?"

"Maybe because a guy like me doesn't cry. Everyone is always asking of Jeremy is OK. And how he went threw the most. No one ever thinks to ask how we are. How I am... "

Jake looked at rich. "And what about you? You got burned badly because your squip and I could of helped. You got hurt and I panicked!"

Rich sat infront or Jake. "Jake. Because of you I only got burned. You saved me. Without you I would of died. If anything I should be the one to blame. You got hurt saving me."

Jake leaned his head on rich's shoulder and rich started blushing madly.

"Do you think they will come back? " Jake said sadly. "What if they left for good..What if they stole the money because they hate me."

"Jake. They don't hate you.. If you to talk to any us let us know. We know yo-" rich was cut of by Jake he sat up and looked at rich.

"KNOW ME? KNOW ME! DO ANY OF YOU KMOW HOW I HATE BEING ALONE AND HOW I HIDE MY PAIN BEHIND MY SMILE!?" Jake was sobbing now. He couldn't see anything.

"Jake..I.. I had no idea.. "

Jake looked away from rich. Still crying.

"hey." rich gently moved jakes head back to him.

"You have me. And.. And I love you no matter what, if you need anything let me know ok?"

Jake looked at rich. His soft eyes and his smile. How couldn't jake see it before? He didn't lose his family. His family was here.

Jake teared up and hugged rich tightly starting to break down again.

"I got you jake." rich said and hugged him back slowly rocking him. "I got you. "

A/N: AHAHAA this was so sad to write but this is how I image jake and rich got together.
