A/N: Their ages are now 15 okay? Oh and if you're wondering how Flynn knows how to drive.. let's just say he's a Sophomore, around 17. Yeah? yeah.

"If a friend tells you he loves you and you don't love him back, what would you do?"
I blinked.. three times.
D-Did Hiccup send me that? W-W-What? Does h-he like me? N-No Mer, don't be too naive. It makes you vulnerable to heartbreak and heartache.
"I.." I typed. What do I say?
"I might.. I don't know!" I basically groaned as I typed that. "Never happened to me, so I don't know."
"Ohh.." He simply typed. And now we're awkward like hell.
"Well, what if you liked him back?" He asked. What is he trying to do? Get me to talk boys with him?
"I'd be happy, duh!" I typed. Is he losing his brain or something? Asking all this?
"Ohh.." He replied. Great. Another awkward moment.
"Why you asking me this?" I asked. I mean, I gotta know, right?
"Nothing.." He responded.
"O..kay..." I typed, with all those dots. Yup, awkward.
"Listen Mer, I.." He typed. He...? Why can't he continue?
"You..?" I sent. And he left me there to wait.

He started the ignition and began to back up. I sighed and stared at the beautiful place once again. How I wanna go back there again. The lanterns dissolved into the sky like stars and the dimmed lighting surrounding the place gave it a romantic feel.
And now we were driving in the road, the place far from sight. I sighed and my gaze dropped to the side mirror. I just stared at the road through the mirror. I didn't wanna go home. Not now, not today. Maybe, never?
"I can tell you had fun." Eugene said, trying to break the awkwardness. He still stared at the boring road though.
"Yeah I did." I squealed. "It was the prettiest place I have been to, ever."
"Really?" He took a quick glance at me, which was barely even noticeable.
"Yeah." I said, a bit sad. "My step mom barely let's me out. It sucks."
"Oh.." He pursed his lip. "Sorry for even asking."
"No, it's fine." I let out a half smile. "It's fine."
He just smiled and then we're back to the awkward silence as usual.
I had to start a conversation. I don't want this to end awkward. "Why did you scare me like that?"
"I found it fun." He laughed. "I wanted to see how you'd react."
"Hey, you know I'm just gonna freak out okay?" I said, adding a giggle. "You deserved the slap."
"Oh really?" He asked with a smirk.
"Yeah, really." I said. "It actually felt good."
"It didn't even feel painful." He chuckled, making me nudge him on the hip. "Ouch! Hey."
"Not painful, eh?" I laughed. He just smiled and laughed along with me.
"Maybe the nudge hurt a little, but that slap was nothing." He bragged.
