Dallas

I make my way to Starbucks after my arguement with Tyler. I'm looking down at my phone when I bump into something and hear a thump.

"Hey, watch it!" she yells and I look down to help her up, I find Caelyn staring up at me with narrowed eyes.

She is so breathtaking beautiful, even when she looks like she would kill me if she had the chance.

"Haven't seen you in a while."

"Maybe because I didn't want to see you. Ever think of that, Dallas."

The way she spits out my name like she just ate a pile of shit kills me.

She finally gets up and she looks even better now that I can see her up close. She has this look on her face that says she rather be watching paint dry than be here talking to me.

"That hurts, Caelyn," I put a hand on my chest and mock a face of hurt, "And here I am thinking we were friends all those years."

"Yeah, 'cause I really sock all my friends in the jaw for fun" she sneers.

I chuckle. "That's what us boys, or at least my friends and I do for fun."

"Yeah, whatever. I have to go back and get ready for our first day of classes tommorow, and I still have to write a Chem paper that we were supposed to do over the summer."

I never thought Caelyn would put something off to the last minute like this, but after everything that happened with her brother, I can't blame her.

"You wanna ride back to the dorms?"

"No, it's fine. My truck s'over there," She points towards a silver Ford and I'm shocked.

I would have figured this girl drove a Toyota or something.

"Nice truck, darlin'. Never thought you would drive a Ford." I get really close to her when I say this and figure she would just back up.

"Guess you don't know me as well as you thought, Morris."

After she says this she turns away, and in a flash, she's in her truck and driving back to the dorms.

Leaving me alone.
