Bum Bum

My heart beat was in my ears.

Bum Bum

It was in my skull.

Bum Bum

I could feel it in my entire body.

Bum Bum

I could feel my blood pumping, through my veins.

Bum Bum

The world moved in slow motion as I looked down at the wound in my abdomen.

Bum Bum

The blood seemed to seep out of me with the beat.

Bum Bu-

"SCARLETT!" Deans voice distracted me as I felt myself fall to the ground. I tried to move my head to see him, but it didn't happen. My eyes just went to the sky and Dean's face was suddenly over mine. His face was twisted into a strange expression, his emotions twisted together. I could see the anger in his eyebrows, the worry in his eyes, and the confusion and anxiety in his mouth. "Scarlett..." his voice faded into the darkness along with everything else as my eye lids slid closed......

~TWELVE HOURS EARLIER~

"So you're telling me that you eat mostly burgers?" Scarlett asks, glancing at Dean before she backs out of the parking spot at the little diner.

"Well, what's better then beef and cheese?" Dean asks furrowing his brow.

"I guess you got a point there..." She smiles and turns up the radio, AC DC's Highway to Hell coming through the speakers. She sang along as they drove off to check out the abandoned building where they assumed the vamps were. As they got closer she shut off the radio and parked by the street. The gravel driveway was overgrown and most of the building looked like it might collapse. There were four building on the property, two warehouses as well as a factory and a small little building that used to be the place where workers went for breaks and for first aid. They used to produce windows here, a long time ago. But now, even in broad daylight it seemed like the place was haunted.

Scarlett looked around, her revolver in one hand and a machete in the other. "Alright boys, I'll get the warehouse on the south side, Sammy you can get the other, Dean you wanna check out the factory and we can send Bobby into the rest building?" The three of them nodded, sounded fine. "Alright, holler if ya need anything and we all come running."

The four of them split up and started searching the buildings, Scarlett was sneaky when it came to scouting. She was quick on her feet and knew how to glide across the floor carefully. She could read the signs and usually avoided even squeaky floorboards pretty well. She enjoyed the scouting out even more then the hunting.

She smirked to herself slightly as she found the nest, there were twelve of them, decent size for a nest that was undetected for so long. She would need backup, so she quickly and quietly escaped from the den. She saw Bobby was standing outside the building he had searched, "I found 'em." She says with a grin.

He chuckles at her, "How many?"

"A bakers dozen," she responds as Sam walks up.

"So I got the nest," Sammy says. Bobby and Scarlett give him a puzzled look. "What?" Sam asks as he looks at their expressions.

"I found a nest too," Scarlett says, making Sam's face twist into confusion as her and Bobby's had moments earlier.

"Wait really?" Sam asks, "So either theres one nest that is huge or there are two nests that somehow co-habitate?"

"It's against their nature to live that close to rival vamps," Bobby says with a shake of his head.

"But they always sleep together in the same place, why spread themselves out?" Sam counters.

They are silent for a moment, thinking. "What if it's to try and save at least a piece?" Scarlett offers. The boys look at her sideways. "They divide themselves up in case hunters catch up to them, they figure sleeping in separate buildings will give whoever doesn't get caught time to escape."

"Guess what I found guys," Dean says as he approaches them.

"Another nest?" Scarlett asks him with a smirk.

"Wait... Another?" Dean asks confused.

"So they have an unusually large number here," she starts. "They are in three separate warehouses, my theory is that they are anticipating hunters, trying to save at least some."

Dean thinks for a moment, "So what you're telling me is that we really need some back up?" Scarlett nods, already dialing someone on her phone.

Scarlett grins as the person she contacted answers, "Sheriff! Great to hear your voice." She pauses as the other line speaks "I'm great, unfortunately this is not a social call. I think I am gonna need some assistance." She chuckles, "Yes... Uh huh... Okay so I will text ya the deets?" She grins again and gives the guys a thumbs up, "Alright see ya soon Jody." She hangs up the phone and starts scrolling through her contacts. "Okay, Jody Mills is headed out the door... now." She says as she sends her location to Jody and looks for the next hunter to call.

"You know Jody?" Sam asks, clearly surprised.

"Duh..." Scarlett says as she clicks the next contact on her phone. "How long has it been since you've seen my baby sister Bobby?" She asks as she puts her phone up to her ear.

"Oh a while, graduation?" He shrugs.

"Hey baby cakes, what are you up to today?" Scarlett answers the phone. "Oh, well you up for a hunt? Yeah, we need some back up.... Oh just me, Bobby, and some muscle, and Jody is on her way." She said the last part like she was offering the girl on the other end cookies she couldn't resist. "Sweet, see ya in a couple hours."

"So I guess that's that? Two for each building?" Bobby asks as they get back into the car.

They go back into town to wait for the rest of their hunting party. They choose another little diner to eat at while they wait and the two hours before Scarletts sister walks through the door fly by. Her strawberry blonde hair was just as beautiful as her big sister's despite the almost opposite complete opposite color. "Jennie!!" Scarlett squeals as she runs to hug her baby sister. They embrace and Bobby stands to get his turn.

"Oh my gosh we have to get together more!" Jennie squeals as she squeezes Bobby next. "Where is Jody at?"

"The Sheriff is not here yet," Scarlett grabs her sister's hand and leads her over to the boys as she smiles. "Should be here in the next hour though, just before sundown."

"So what are we hunting?" Jennie asks excitedly as they approach the table.

"We will definitely get to that, but first... Jennie, the boys... Sam and Dean," She gestures to each of them as she says their names. "Boys, this is my kid sister Jennie."

"I am not, we are only a few years apart." She complains. "It is a pleasure to meet y'all."

"The pleasure is ours" Sam says as he shakes her hand. Dean gives her the same gesture.

"So, vamps!" Scarlett says as they all sit again.
