Heya!
I've been a little busy lately, so I'm sorry if my updates are becoming slow. I'm moving cities and universities because my landlord fucked me over, but I'm getting there! I'm slowly but surely learning how to adult. Anyways, updates are coming again!
I thought perhaps it was time I'd do a small summary of everything that has happened in the story so far! I tend to lose track a little sometimes and forget things, so this one is for you as well as myself.
Soooooo, where we at?
First things first, Emerald and Daniel have kissed again! Yay! I don't know about you guys, but I've kinda been waiting for this. I didn't want to rush their relationship and make it unrealistic though, so I had to take things slow. Very happy the wait is now over!
Also, it seems Emerald is going to have to stay with her knight-in-a-hella-sexy-black-suit for a while as Chante and Ian are still after her. The deal is off - no more spying, just protection and love. Well, not love yet either, but you get the gist.
Another person on the radar of our infamous French mob boss is Cathleen 'Cath' Carter. Which, by the way, is not her real name. I'm not sure how clear I've made that part? Cath's history isn't one filled with roses and playgrounds, but I'm not going to reveal too much about that just yet! All we know is that she used to work for a certain mister Eduardo Wolff together with a group of girls that all lived together in the attic of Wolff's villa, and that her memories of the place aren't exactly fond ones. He did promise her that he'd be back for her, and we do know that he's actively searching for her. Will he succeed, though?
Or will he be beaten to it by Chante? Stabbing him was a pretty blunt move on Cath's side, and one that will definitely not go unpunished if the Picard's have it their way. To get back to her they have to find her first though, and while they almost had her (remember the motordriver here) Cath's unexpected hero was no one other than Seth! That should score the guy at least a few karma points, right?
One person that we haven't seen much off yet is our dear Dan. Bestie or not, Emerald didn't want to drag him into this mess. Don't worry though, he'll be back soon! I've got some things planned out for the 'queer Greek god'.
And then there's dear misses Eleonora Riva - Daniel's mother. She once helped her husband reign over the vast ranks of the Riva famiglia, and while retired she isn't completely ready to back down yet. She hasn't exactly been the best of mother's to Daniel and his brother (who by the way wants jack shit to do with all the mob drama), and even though she's his mamma Daniel isn't very fond of her. She's here though, which means he's stuck with her.
Last but not least there's a new character, Valentina Magligia. I totally made that last name up. She's Daniel's fiancee, flown over to be the bearer of news bad enough that it made our sexy devil cry (the passing of his dear grandmother) only to bug him with questions about their marriage after. You can't really blame the girl though - while her hot piece of ass is in America taking care of business and - apparently - kissing other woman she's stuck with Daniel's parents in Italy. I know I wouldn't be happy with that. Biggest problem of all here is Daniel doesn't even want to marry her: he has to. Their alliance is part of a deal to keep the piece between two once rivaling families, and obviously he's too busy with a different war with the Picards already to risk another one back in his home country. So really he doesn't have much of a choice I suppose. Bummer.I hope this cleared any confusion some of you might have had! Like I said, I tend to get lost in the wild forest that is my writing. If any of you still have questions just let me know! I'd be more than happy to clear some details up. :)
Enjoy! And don't be a silent reader, I love comments and votes. They keep me motivated!
I feel like this update needs an XO at the end.
- XOXO Catherine
