I thought that everything would run smoothly.. Demi would just knock on the door, and me and Lola would get out of the small restroom, no problem.
I was wrong.
It took Demi's body guard, and ten dudes from the airport security just to get us out of there.
"I can't believe you could be this stupid," Demi scoffed. I looked at her bewildered.
"What?"
"What do you mean "what," Devonne? You should've known better."
I rolled my eyes, "Well I'm sorry that the fact that my sister is an international pop star slipped my mind."
I turned my attention back to Lola who had wet tear stains down her cheeks. I lifted her chin up with my hand softly, forcing her to look me in the eyes.
"Are you okay, baby girl?" I asked quietly.
"I'm fine, Momma," Lola said in a hushed voice. I nodded and pulled her tighter against my chest.
Once we finally made it to the car I was completely exhausted. I sighed and leaned my body against it, catching my breath.
"You gonna get in the car or just stand there?" I heard a voice from inside the car say.
"I think I'll stand here."
"Just get in the car, Dev."
I sighed and stood up straight, carrying Lola and myself to the backseat.
After getting us both set up my eyes shot to the passenger seat.
Dallas.
"Surprised to see me?" she smirked.
I rolled my eyes, "Obviously."
Before she got the chance to say another word Demi hurriedly cut in, "Don't start again, you two. I'd like to get home in peace."
"We'll see about that," I mumbled grimly.
...
