The Girl Next Door

Chapter 12

Breathless, that's the feeling I was feeling. It felt like my life was changing. I woke up from my nightmare with arms wrapped around me. I turned to my left and saw Ryder laying next to me. I asked "What are you doing here?" He chuckled and answered "This is my house." I smiled and he asked "Did you have a bad dream?" My smile disappeared and I nodded my head. He pulled me closer and held me tightly. He whispered "We couldn't of done anything, you had a miscarriage and I understand how upset you are. I'm upset too but we have to be strong for James." I nodded my head and slowly drifted off to sleep in Ryder's arms.

(The Next Day)

I had to be strong for my baby boy, for James. I felt like I had a strong connection to him somehow. I woke up, Ryder wasn't next to me. I walked into the kitchen and saw Noah standing there, he turned to me. He smiled and said "Ryder went out for a bit but he should be back shortly." I nodded my head and went back into Ryder's room. I waited till he came home, I was lonely and lost at the time.

(2 hours later)

I was so bored, I got up and got dressed for the day. I yelled "Noah, if Ryder comes back tell him I went out for a bit." Noah nodded his head and I left. I got into my car and drove. I didn't know where to go, I just knew I had to go somewhere.

Anywhere...

I ended up at a beach. Listening to the waves crash into the sand always relaxed me. It always calmed me down. As I looked out into the ocean, teared started to stream down my face. I haven't been able to stop crying. All I have done is cry. Each and everyday I begin to give up on myself. I just don't believe that I am worth it anymore. Life causes me pain and I can't deal with it anymore.

I felt a tap on the shoulder, I turned my head and saw that Ryder had tracked me down. I asked "What are you doing here?" He didn't say a word, he just pulled me closer and held me tightly as I cried in his arms. He said "Baby, just relax." That's exactly what I did, I relax myself. I pulled away from him, he wiped my tears away as I stared into his eyes. He started back into my eyes. I said "I love you." He smiled and said "I love you too."

I kissed him and hugged him tightly.
