The Girl Next Door

Chapter 13

(2 weeks later)

Things happen and people change isn't that a lesson in life. Well there should be a book about life. I never got up from the bed, I stayed in bed all the time. I didn't care because there was nothing for me to care about anymore. But I still had Ryder and that's all I needed.

I finally got up from my bed and walked to the kitchen. Ryder was sitting in the kitchen on his phone. He turned and saw me. He said "There's my gorgeous girlfriend." I smiled and he said "Get dressed, we're going somewhere." I shook my head and said "I don't want to." He smiled and said "come on, it'll be fun. Trust me." I smiled and nodded my head.

I got dressed and ready for the day. I actually did my hair and makeup. I haven't done anything since I heard that I had a miscarriage. It was actually good for me to go out. I got into his car and waited for him. He came outside minutes after me. He got in and asked if I was ready and I nodded my head. It was really beautiful out today. A summer breeze was blowing and the sun was bright. I had a pair of sunglasses with me. I put them on.

We arrived at a beach. He said "We are spending our day at the beach. I packed you're bikini so you don't have to worry about anything." I smiled and he handed me my bikini. This was his way of saying that he will help me with anything. Cause he knows that the beach always calms me down. He knows me too well. I got into my bikini and we relaxed on the beach. I'm glad that we are together.

(5 hours later)

We put our clothes on and we went to go to dinner. We both got into his car and he started it. He drove and I said "Thanks for today, I really needed it." He turned and smiled then he faced back to the road. We arrived into a park. There was a very romantic picnic. I sat down and he sat down beside me.

(After dinner)

He pulled out red wine and pour us both glasses. He handed me mine and turned to me. He had a ring, he got down on one knee and said " Skye, being with you had changed my life forever I want you to be my future because being with you makes me the happiest man in the world. I love you and nothing can change that. So Skye Thompson, Will you marry me?" I smiled and said "Yes." Tears streamed down my face. Nothing made me happier than being with Ryder. We were already living together.

I kissed him and we laid on the blanket. We looked up at the stars and admired how beautiful they were. We were gonna have a future together and that made me so happy.

(The Next Day)

I woke up with the person I love and that made everything very special. I put on my ring and went into the kitchen to get some caffeine so I could wake up. I stood there drinking my coffee and I was the only one up. I decided to actually do something. I got dressed and put makeup on. As I was doing my hair, Ryder asked "Where are you going?" I smiled and said "I have going to tell my parents that I am engaged." I saw out of the corner of my eye that he was smiling.

I got into my car and backed out of the garage. I soon arrived at my parents house and there were cops surrounding it. The cops tried to hold me back but I yelled "I'M THERE DAUGHTER!" The let me pass and I saw both my parents on the floor, DEAD!

Things couldn't of gotten any worse from there. The cops pulled me away from the scene. I asked "What Happened?" They didn't have any facial expression, the least they could do is look sorry for me. Tears were streaming down my face and I waited till they answered me. He took a deep breath and said "They were murdered by a prisoner that had escaped from prison a few nights ago but don't worry miss we got the guy."

I drove home with tear stains on my face. I walked in and saw Ryder was waiting for me. He looked sad, he asked "What happened?" I signed and tried to hold back the tears. I said "My parents were murdered but don't worry they caught the guy." Ryder held me close and said "It's okay to let it all out, I'm here for you as always."

I kissed his cheek and headed to my room. That's where I needed to be right now. I got into comfy clothes and laid down. I soon drifted off to sleep. It was very peaceful.
