I felt the airplane moving harshly again and closed my eyes, gripping tightly the lifesaver that was below my seat as if it were my lifeline, which if you think about it, it actually might be.

"Oh my God Megan, stop trembling already." Said Colton while shaking my shoulder, "I swear we're not going to fall!"

I opened my eyes and looked at him feeling petrified. "I just can't help it okay? And how do you know we're not going to fall? This freaking plane has been moving like a rollercoaster for more than 20 minutes Colton!" I said almost screaming. I've never being a fan of flying, and he already knows it. If humans were supposed to fly, they would have being born with wings, and they're not, so yeah.

"Because it won't, I mean" Started Colton turning towards me "I have cancer, remember? I don't think God would kill me before my already short time left in this earth is over."

He was laughing but his eyes hided a little bit of pain that didn't go unnoticed by me. "Oh, don't be so self-centered. There have to be like, 600 people in here and you're already dying so I don't think 'God' would be thinking only about you."

"And there you go, being just as cute as always" He said, moving a little bit too close to me for my liking.

"What the hell do you think you're doing? Ever heard of 'personal space'?" After I said that he smirked at me and suddenly reached out for my hand. I got stiff looking at him wondering what the hell was he doing. Soon after, he grabbed my lifesaver and took it away from me, I gasped and looked at him incredulously.

"Sorry there, Meggie. I needed you to let go of that thing. Your tight grip on it was giving me anxiety." He said smirking at me and moving back to his seat, returning me my much wanted personal space.

"Yeah whatever. Just leave me alone and never call me 'Meggie' again."

"What got you so sour? You need to-" He was suddenly cut off by the pilot's voice.

"Hello dear passengers, I truly apologize for the little turbulence we're experiencing" Little? Yeah right, "But we had a little problem here in the cabin, please do not worry though. We'll be able to get to London in complete safety. Thank you again for flying with us, and we're truly sorry for the inconveniences."

"Is he serious?!" I said turning to look at Colton, "How is he expecting me 'not to worry' when I still have to wait like 8 hours in this airplane, being around 28 thousand feets off of the lovely ground and knowing that the freaking cabin is damaged?!" I almost screamed feeling panicked as hell.

"Stop panicking Megan, he said we're going to be just fine. And he said they were having troubles, not that it was damaged."

"How can you be so relaxed?" I asked, and watched how his eyes turned completely serious, which is a rare sight coming from him. Not like I know him that well, but I already can tell that much.

"Because I know I'm going to die most likely soon, but it won't be today. Not here, not right after meeting you."

Well that wasn't the answer I was expecting, that's for sure. "Don't get all mushy on me now, and what's with that serious face?"

The serious look was gone and replaced with a smile as he said, "The only serious matter in my head right now is how hungry I am. So you should stand up and get some food for me."

We both knew that was not going to happen.

A few moments later the airplane got steady again allowing me to relax a little bit since I wasn't picturing my dead in my head anymore. I put on some music again and closed my eyes shutting down everything around me. I started thinking about this sudden trip to London, it hasn't even fully started yet and it was already throwing surprises at me. Knowing me, I will most likely stay inside the hotel and order a lot of room service while watching TV. Opening my eyes, I looked besides me and saw Colton looking out the window and I couldn't help but wonder if maybe he would like to hang out with me in London. I started laughing at the thought because it would be so stupid to ask him to stay inside a hotel room eating and watching TV while being in a whole new country.

I felt one of my earplugs being removed and before I could say anything about it Colton spoke to me, "What's so funny?" he asked.

"It's nothing, stop trying to invade my privacy."

"Megan come on, sharing is caring. I want to laugh too." He said looking amused as ever.

"I said it's nothing. And may I ask why you keep on saying my name almost each time you talk to me?" I asked raising my eyebrow at him, to be honest I find it a little bit annoying.

"I just like it," He shrugged, "And it is your name, so there's nothing wrong with saying it."

"It's weird, there's no need to repeat it so much."

"Well. To tell you the truth, it makes you feel more real." He said smiling.

I nodded and didn't ask him to elaborate anymore. I literally just met him, it's a little bit overwhelming to have him throwing those deep and sincere answers at my face so soon.

"I'd love to! We could watch Barbie movies for all I care" He said laughing along with me.

"Know what? I just got an idea." He said turning his body so now he was facing me completely. He looked excited so that made me doubt if I wanted to hear what this idea was all about. I still asked though.

His smile got bigger as he said, "We should hang out together when we arrive to London. I mean, not immediately because we have to get to where we will be staying and maybe sleep and take a shower and, yeah."

"Are we friends?" I asked surprising him, I saw how his cheeks got a little flustered and try my hardest not to start laughing.

"Well, I like to believe we will be."

"Then yes, we can hang out." I replied offering him a sincere tiny smile.

"Megan, we've only been together for almost 8 hours, but I now fully believe your words. Awesomeness is indeed another thing that comes with your package."

"Ok you stop that." I said rolling my eyes to which he replied, "Stop what Megan?"

"Stop saying nice words all the time, is annoying."

"You, my soon to be friend, need to enjoy life."

"I can't find joy in life anymore" I said looking right into his eyes.

"That's because you're not actually trying to do so" He said looking into my eyes too.

"So what if I'm not?"

"Oh, no worries Megan Hunter" He said "I'll show you a brand new world."

He smiled looking so sure of himself that even if I hate to admit it, I hoped he was right.
