"Like this?" Yoru asked, following Minghao's figure

"You're doing great." He smiled

"Now here comes the hard part, you have to do a high kick like this." He kicked in the air with a spin.

He was teaching you basic martial arts in a Saturday evening, self-defense as he stated.

"I can't do it." Yoru doubted

"Well, no one succeeds in the first try so I'll be there you if you fall..." he winked playfully.

A blush crept up the girl's cheeks, stunned by his words. She shook her head, snapping her out of her crazy thoughts.

"Cheesy."

"Like Hoshi hyung's hair once." Minghao laughed

"His hair was color orange once?" Yoru asked in shock, her eyes held a disbelief expression.

"Yeah, he dyed it purple." Minghao laughed

"Now come on." He motioned the girl to do the kick

Yoru mentally cursed in her head, she was trying to distract him by switching to another topic.

But the boy was too professional to be tricked.

So she breathed a sigh and prepared to do a high kick without looking like chicken little.

She mustered up strength, and her body did the work.

She closed her eyes while doing the kick, she felt the air in her room brush in her cheeks as she felt like she flew.

Once she landed, she opened her eyes closely, seeing the boy agape.

"W-What?" You asked

"I have never seen a girl kick that high, it could hit Mingyu's forehead!"

"Yah! Don't drag me into this!" Mingyu said from the amulet.

"No fair, they even used my hair..." Both of them could feel the older pout as they laughed

"Yoru!"

Minghao and Yoru stopped laughing, the girl's eyebrows knitting in worry and confusion.

And when she guessed who was the person that called her, she shook her head, "Not again..."

"What?" Minghao asked

"Just stay hidden, I'll be right back." The girl apologetically smiled

Yoru went down the stairs, seeing her older brother  stumbling over nothing looking like a complete idiot.

"Hobi..." Yoru sighed

She went to her brother's aid, helping him stand up properly.

"Where have you been?" Yoru slung his arm on her shoulders, to support him

"D-Don't touch me..." he mumbled, pushing his sister away.

"I said where have you been?" They began walking, the girl struggling.

"With... fwends..." he giggled and hiccuped

"Hoseok this isn't healthy..." Yoru led him upstairs

Hoseok mustered up his strength and pushed his sister away, glaring at her.

"You're not mom!" He yelled

Yoru fought the urge to yell back, as the sister, she should remain calm and understand the situation.

"Hoseok, why don't you rest for a bit?" Yoru smiled

"You don't get to tell me what to do!" He yelled again

"Hoseok, mom wouldn't want you to be like this..." Yoru softly said

He growled, "You say it like you're the real child..."

The girl felt a knife stab her, but she remained calm and smiled at his brother.

"Hoseok you need to—"

"You're only adopted! Why would I listen to you?!"

Biting her lip as he watched Hoseok's broken figure in front of her, she couldn't help but blame herself on why he was like this...

"Ho—"

"Mom wouldn't want me to be like this? She didn't even want you to run way! If you fucking listened to her she would be okay!" He spat at her.

Yoru held back the liquid forming in her eyes, her hands turned into fists

"If you only—"

Yoru hugged her brother, caressing his back like a year old baby. She hummed his favorite song, he didn't even try to push her away.

The boy felt his eyelids heavy, he didn't even hesitate to close them right away.

Once she felt that his brother was already asleep, she struggled to carry him to his room.

Minghao, who was peeking outside her room, came out to help the poor girl.

Yoru felt embarrassed knowing that Minghao heard it all, but that's not her main priority right now.

Once they both entered Hoseok's room, they laid him down on the bed.

Yoru removed his top, changing it to a new shirt leaving the bottom be. She then fixed his pillow and draped the blanket over his shoulders.

"Good night Hobi..." Yoru bent down and kissed his forehead

As she was about to leave with Minghao, his brother grabbed her arm making her look back at him.

"Don't leave me mommy..." he mumbled

Yoru looked at his brother in sorrow, guilt and regret. She heaved a sigh and turned to the genie...

"Minghao, I wish for him to be happy..."

The boy smiled, nodding his head.

"Your wish will be granted..."
