"Wonwoo..." I stared at him with wide and shocked eyes
I couldn't believe it, Jeon Wonwoo, a genie, likes me? It made me think of what will happen to him if he continues feeling this way, I couldn't allow him to be hurt because of me.
"I know I know, but I can't help it..." he blushed a redder color, if that was possible
"But the punishment—"
"What if someone's just making it up? What if they're just scaring us?" He stopped me as his hand ghosted over mine
"I don't care." He held my hand gently, caressing it using his thumb
I began to blush, my heart beat paced faster than it normally did.
"Wonwoo..." I called
"It's okay of you don't feel the same..." he looked down, a soft smile imprinted on his face.
"But please..."
"Just let me have you, for just a few minutes. I'll be okay..." he looked into my eyes, begging me to consider his request.
"But Wonwoo—"
"Please..." yet again, he stopped my protest.
I couldn't help but fall for his lonely eyes, at the same time, I'm scared. I'm scared of what will happen, of what will happen to him.
And it's going to be my fault, again...
His hand trailed from my hand, to my shoulders, then to my cheeks. He stopped there, as he stared at me with emotions pouring out of his eyes. This simple gesture made me want to hug him and tell him I felt something too, but I couldn't because I was afraid.
Fear controls everything once it gets its hands on you.
"You don't know how long I've wanted to do this..." he smiled
"W-Wonwoo..." I called, trying to stop him before anything happens
"Just let me." He said as he leaned in.
I widened my eyes when he performed that action, his eyes were starting to close, his breath ghosting over my quivering lips...
"I love you..."
I felt his lips gently brush into mine, and I had no fucking idea why I didn't push him away.
He stopped the kiss as he leaned away.
I stared at him in awe, he was hypnotizing me without realizing it.
But an unfamiliar scene started and my eyes widened for the nth time...
"Wonwoo, w-what's happening?!" I exclaimed
Gray and angry smoke started to slowly consume his body, starting from his feet to his upper body.
Instead of being afraid, he chuckled and smiled at me. His eyes showing no hint of fear, instead, his expression made me regret why I didn't prevent him from kissing me.
"I guess this is the punishment..."
"Wonwoo no!" I yelled and held his arm, but when I did, it turned into smoke.
"Wonwoo I'm sorry..." my sight started to blur as I tried to stop him from being eaten by the smoke, but I couldn't do anything.
"It's not your fault..." he smiled
"Guys help!" I yelled at the amulet, trying to stop this madness.
But my eyes deceived me, it broke my heart when I saw that it had a small crack on the crystal....
Then a droplet of tear rolled on my cheek, as I looked back at Wonwoo, where his shoulders and face were the only ones left of him...
"Don't leave me..." I cracked out, the heavy feeling on my chest was back.
"I'm sorry..." he smiled one last time
And when the smoke consumed everything, it disappeared along with him..
"Wonwoo?" I called
"Wonwoo?" I called again
'No...'
"I'm sorry..." I hugged my knees as the tears started pouring out
No, this can't be happening. Wonwoo can't be gone, he can't leave me. He wouldn't.
I had a little hope in my heart, so I looked at the amulet again. Seeing the small crack on the gem, I called out to one of them.
"Jihoon?"
The pink and blue glitters arrived as Jihoon's figure stood in front of me.
"What now— wait why are you crying?" He knelt in front of me, confused of my figure.
"W-Where's Wonwoo? He's in the amulet right? Tell me he's in the amulet..." As I begged to him, more tears were going down like waterfall.
He knitted his eyebrows pitifully at my messy figure, but his answer broke my heart even further than it already is.
"Who's Wonwoo?"
Before I could react, my phone ringed as I answered it without looking at the caller.
"Is this Mr. Jung Hoseok's sister?"
"Y-Yeah I am..."
The next line the man said, I ran out the room, ignoring Jihoon's calls...
"Please come to the hospital immediately, your brother was hit by a speeding car..."
