Today was Joshua day, and also Sunday.

Yoru had her insomnia striking again, so was staring at the starless rainy sky. It was early at dawn, the small droplets of rain dripping down her window.

Seokmin decided to go to Yoru, maybe to make the poor girl get some sleep.

He softly sat beside her, Yoru still not drifting her eyes away from the window.

"Hey..." he called

"Yeah?" Yoru whispered, her voice hoarse.

"You okay?" The boy asked

"Yeah..." she said again, not minding to take her eyes off her window.

Seokmin thought of what happened earlier—yesterday. Of course, Minghao opened her room's door causing the others to hear their argument.

He couldn't help but feel sad for the girl, she has done so much for others that she even forgot herself. He found out that Yoru was the kind of girl that would do everything for another person, even if it meant nothing in return for herself.

"I know a way to sleep."

Finally, Yoru turned her head and asked, "What?"

"Come lie on your bed." the genie stood up as Yoru followed

She tucked herself in the bed and tried to sleep, but as unconvincing the insomnia is, it didn't let her.

Seokmin sat beside her on the floor and started humming a song, he just made up random tunes and it eventually blended well.

And it worked, Yoru's eyelids dropped as her mouth fell apart slightly. Soon, she was finally drifting back to dreamland.

The genie stopped singing, and smiled at the now peaceful girl.

And he thought...

'Finally our wish came true...'

• Yoru •

"Uhm, Yoru?" Joshua softly asked

"Hm?" I hummed

"Sunce uhm... Vernon already told our story, do you mind telling yours?" He asked, carefully choosing his words

I knitted my eyebrows in confusion, "I thought I already did?"

"The.... adopted part."

My shoulders dropped. Oh, that part. Joshua must've noticed my actions because he immediately tried to do something about it.

"I-If you don't want to you don't have to I'm not forcing you or anything." He said a little too fast

I giggled at his remarks, Joshua's shoulders relaxed as he smiled.

I didn't know why but the thought of Kihyo crossed my mind again.

'No Yoru, don't be like this.'

"Okay I'll tell you."

His eyes glistened when I said those words, when I was about to start, he kindly stopped me from doing so.

"I think it would be unfair if I'm the only one who knew about this..."

"The boys weren't lying when they said that you are a gentleman..." I smiled

"Guys, you can come out..." I said

The amulet was a bit far from my window-where me and Joshua are sitting right now. So I called a bit louder even if I knew they could hear me from blocks away.

All the boys came out, pink and blue surrounded my room.

They all appeared, looking happy and messy as always.

But I noticed the pouting Hoshi who was also crossing his arms.

"Hey Star, what's wrong?" I called

"He lost the rock paper scissor game with Mingyu." Jeonghan rolled his eyes, perhaps he was annoyed at how childish the younger genies are.

"Winner gets to stay with you for a night while the loser cleans the whole room without using magic..." Mingyu smirked

"No fair." Soonyoung muttered

"Wait, wait. Why is this about me?" I asked, pointing to myself.

"Duh, obviously. These dorks like you..." Jihoon rolled his eyes

I looked at them in shock, what?

"Platonically." Minghao smiled

Oh.

"But that's totally unfair!" Hoshi wailed

"You made the bet!"

"No I didn't!"

And everything went crazy as I just sat there with Joshua laughing.

I'm kind of used to these situations even though we only met for a week or so, it already felt like months. All of them were just pure happy pills that I take everyday, they were one of the reasons why I smile.

"Guys!"

The boys looked at Joshua, and you may not believe it but they're all so synchronized.

The thirteen of them immediately scrambled to find a good spot.

And Soonyoung kind of... upgraded since his head was now lying on my lap.

I decided not to kind it since we're all close friends after all, so setting malice aside...

"How do I start this..." I mumbled

I looked down my lap, seeing Hoshi looking up at me with his signature hamster smile.

I smiled back and found the courage to start.

"So I never really knew my real mom, the one who I told you was my foster mom..." I said

"My brother said that a woman stood at their doorway, shoving me into his mother's arms..."

"So basically, I'm not a Jung and Hoseok isn't my real brother..." I looked down

I forgot for a moment that Soonyoung was on my lap, so I made eye contact with him. He stared at me with a gaze I never saw him with before.

"Uh... Hoshi..." I whispered

He blinked once... twice...

A soft smile formed his lips...

"You remind me of someone..." he muttered

I mentally slapped myself for thinking on a certain person again...

Kihyo...
