Jihoon stared at Yoru, who was sitting silently on his brother's bed. Silent and numb to do anything..
Two days passed after Hoseok's funeral, the girl and the genies went home with heavy hearts.
Even though Seungcheol was the only person Hoseok met physically, they still think of him as a great person.
Jihoon felt guilty, he was too late to make the wish. If he only said it a little faster, Hoseok would be okay, that Wonwoo guy would be okay.
Yoru would be okay.
The girl was squatting on the bed, head hung low as her hair covered her face.
She's been like this for two whole days, drowning herself in her own sorrow.
No eating, no drinking, no sleeping.
And the heartbreaking part of all is that she felt alone again...
The guys desperately tried their best to cheer the mourning girl, yet she only sadly smiled for a millisecond and returned to her emotionless face.
"Guys I've had enough of this..." Jihoon said as he went out the amulet.
Yoru wasn't attending school, they knew the situation anyway.
4:30 am, if it strikes five it's Mingyu's turn and Jihoon couldn't get the chance to grant her a wish.
He walked slowly to her and sat on the edge of the bed.
"Yoru..." Jihoon called out gently
The girl didn't respond, she stayed silent.
"Yoru?" Jihoon called again
Yet the girl was still quiet, refusing to answer the genie's calls.
"My time's almost up, if you wanna make a wish better hurry up."
Jihoon wanted to punch himself, he couldn't say nice things to the girl he liked.
Yoru still didn't say anything, she was just drowning herself in pity. She felt so drained, tired and lonely.
She kept asking herself silently, 'What did I do wrong?'
"Hey, make your wish..."
"I-I can't..."
Jihoon looked confusingly at the girl, though he understood why she said those words. The girl just lost her brother, the only family she had left. Of course she would act like this.
"Look..." Jihoon sighed
"It's almost time until Mingyu's turn, could you at least make the most of your last three wishes?" Jihoon said
The girl never moved, though her position was beyond uncomfortable. She didn't want to move, she didn't want to leave her brother's bed.
4:51...
"A few words, just a few words..." Jihoon tried again.
"I wish..." Yoru trailed, voice hoarse and cracked.
Jihoon waited, time was ticking.
Truth is, he wasn't hurrying for her to make the wish so his turn his over...
But because he wanted to grant her a wish, a wish that the both of them would remember. A wish that would make his guilt go away, a wish that would take away the pain he was also feeling.
Any wish would be okay, as long as Yoru was the one who wished for it.
"I wish..." she repeated again.
"For you to be back to your normal self..."
Jihoon widened his eyes.
4:57...
"W-What?"
"I made my wish..."
Yoru's head slowly lifted, her face slowly becoming visible.
Her hair had become a little longer, her eye bags were deeper and darker, the once plump lips were now pale, her body was now growing frail and weak.
And her eyes were as sad as ever.
"But..." Jihoon couldn't believe it.
"Please grant my wish..." the girl painfully smiled, attempting to satisfy the genie.
Jihoon sucked a sharp breath, ready to say the five magic words.
"Anything for you..." he mumbled with a sad tone.
"Your wish will be granted..."

Jihoon stared at Yoru from the amulet, she wasn't wearing it like the usual. She just put it on the table beside Hoseok's bed, she refused to move away from Hoseok's bed. And she was still surprisingly sitting on his bed, staring at the bed's cloth.
Finally, he get to say the words he's willing to say to everybody...
"I'm sorry..."
