Another day to be ignored is another day gone unnoticed by snickers and hurtful words. If words cut like a knife then you'd have the scars to prove.

Today you thought you'd have a gash this time, because today was the day Mr.Clarke was picking partners for a science project. The class was always an odd number of students, making it easy and acceptable to have an excuse to work by yourself.

But ever since that new girl Max got here the class is now even, do the math, you'll have to work with another human being from now on, like it or not.

But you didn't let it shake you, you woke up. You gazed at the fancy lettered words on your wrist. You did your daily routine, and you left for school like any other day.

Science class, the time of day you'd been dreading since the moment you opened your eyes this morning. And like any other day you'd hear the faint comments from the other girls about you.

Occasionally they'd be audible enough for you to hear, but this time you think that what they were saying was slightly louder on purpose.

The usual gossip about your weight, sense of style, or friendless personality was this time purposely louder, making the small words sting like untreated wounds.

Each word cut like a blade, and each following giggle of laughter, a kick in the face, over and over again. You couldn't deny the tears in the back of your eyes, traveling to the front and on the edge about to fall.

The same following feeling of a stinging dry throat reminding you that sticks and stones in fact hurt less than words.
That words are scars no matter what context.

But you pushed them back, farther to the point where they couldn't bother you anymore, and your main focus was being nervous, hoping that the same girls wouldn't be paired up with you.

Mr.Clarke's directions made you fall back into the reality of school work, that more important things are to be focused on then some gossips.

You waited patiently and anxiously as Mr.Clarke called each pair of names.
By each pair of names passed, and the more time you'd have to wait, you dreaded the moment when you'd hear yours.

But none the less you heard it, near the end of the list, and when you did it felt like the blood in your veins stopped circulating for a pure moment of fear and anxiety.

"Y/n.....," Mr.Clarke paused to find the name of someone who'd you never talked to. "and Mike."

Mike Wheeler, president of the AV club. In a group of four boys all the rest also part of the AV club. Sat in the first row, 4th desk to the right. Also someone you'd never talked to, I guess not until today.

You waited for the words of  Mr.Clarke to give the signal to meet with our partners. But the sound of the middle aged man, "Ok, go!" Filled your ears.

Each step of getting closer to Mike, made you more nervous and your social anxiety go off the charts.
He waited in his seat, well, he was a bit busy from Dustin. The treasurer of the AV club whispering something in his ear.

Once again, the whispers where slightly louder, somewhere along the lines of,
'Have fun with your wif- oh shit!" He turned his head to you, smiling a nervous smile while making his curly hair swish in the process.

His friends left to their partners, leaving you and Mike to yourselves, and the murmurs of the students behind talking amongst themselves about the project.

You sat in the desk next to him, that usually his friend Lucas sat in, but today was an accept ion. You looked at him to see him staring at you, like an expecting look.

Did he expect you to say something or..

"So, uhh...what do you want to do the project on? I was thinking something like tree pollution." He awkwardly said.

Anyone would think that his words were normal and appropriate for this situation, but the ordinary words stuck out to you like none other did.

It seemed familiar, like you've heard or read it a million times, but still have forgotten where it came from.

Mike once agin stared at your facial features, studying the curious yet confused look upon it. Then seeing that your confusion turned into a wide eyed stare like you had realize something serious.

Your look of pure realization was the fact that his words were the ones tattooed on your wrist, the ones you've been staring at every morning when you wake up for the past  13 years.

You shot your head to your wrist, having to roll up your sleeve a it to see the whole thing, and sure enough, his exact words in context were there.

But it dawned on you that it wasn't until you'd have to say something back to Mike before the words would disappear. You looked back at a confused Mike.

You tried thinking of something clever, like, 'where have you been all my life?' Or something like that, but realizing that your soulmate was waiting for you, made you hurry up and say....

"Your...I'm your, your my! Look!."
Real smooth you thought as your rolled up your jacket sleeve to reveal his words upon your forearm.

His face was priceless, a shit eating grin that no one could try and recreate when he revealed his own tattoo.

And the fact that your stutter was tattooed on it only made your face burn, and probably already a crimson red. You both watched together as your words disappeared from each other's wrist like fading away smoke, never to be seen again.

Yeah, today was a usual day, but it took a turn for the best, because your project was just the start of your relationship,
