Revelations & Reconnaissance
It was 6:30 on a Saturday evening when Molly, Haley, Jess and Rosella all stood in front of a mirror contemplating which dress would look better on who.
Although in Rosellas eyes, the correct presumption would be Molly, Haley and Jess were hounding Rosella in front of the mirror as she shot down every dress they threw in her direction.
"For the love of god! Rose just pick a dress!" Jess groaned throwing her head back.
"Every dress you've showed me has either been way too short or does not suit me at all!" Rosella argued, justifying her pickiness.
"Guys we're running out of time, Cameron is picking us up in an hour." Molly said with a sigh as she flopped on the bed.
The three girls were completely ready; makeup perfect and dresses slick- while Rosella was still in her sweat pants.
"Okay, we don't have time for this." Jess sighed. "Haley, keep looking for a dress- your closet is huge I'm sure you can find something she'll like. I'll do her makeup and Molly, you do her hair."
Rosella wanted to protest, she could do her own hair and makeup, but she decided against it; after being friends with these girls for years, she learnt that when it came to this sort of thing, they meant business-
Not to mention if she done it herself, it would have been re-done by Jess regardless, because
'You can't wear natural makeup on a night out when you already wear that everyday anyway! You have to do something different, something dramatic!' Jess had said in the past.
For the next hour Haley had been searching for the right dress, showing her a new one every other minute, which was extremely hard considering she had to keep her eyes closed while Jess applied eyeshadow and liner.
"Okay, this is the last one I have, so if you don't like this then I'm choosing one for you; okay?" Haley asked, although she didn't want an answer.
Holding up the dress to the mirror, Haley prayed that Rosella would just say yes and make the whole ordeal miraculously easier.
Rosella stared at it through the mirror as Haley held it against herself, trying to show the estimated length.
It was a shapely red dress, with a V-neck lining that stopped just above the cleavage and ended mid thigh.
In comparison to the other dresses, this could be a maxi dress.
She liked it.
Although one thing did concern her. "Are you sure it's going to fit? I mean your like 2 cup sizes bigger than I am."
"Just try it on, and if worse comes to worst you can put on a push up bra, okay?"
"Alright fine, what about shoes?"
"Ohh, I've got the perfect thing!" Haley gushed, running into her closet before bringing out a pair of silver heels.
"Please tell me your kidding?!" Rosella gaped.
"Oh come on! They're not that bad!"
