The moon is pure yet full of unknown darkened crevices ready to be explored. That's what you remined me of. It's an old saying that never swayed far from your soft rosy lips. But that same darkness eroded your lips, stripped your cheeks of its blush and consumed the youthful gleam you once held in your porcelain blue eyes. Until every part of you was pooled into a crimson lake.

"Mrs. Ambrosia"

My lashes freed me from those crippling memories. It was hard not to look away from the officer's navy laced eyes piercing into mine. I flit down to his badge.

"Y-Yes officer Damien "

"I asked you a question" he looked down flicking through the files sprawled out on his intricate designed table.

"S-Sorry what was it again?" I wiggled in my seat adjusting my palms under my thighs as I stuck my gaze onto his sharpened features. A deep cut jawline, chiselled bones peeking through his bronzed satin skin. My mouth watered. If only I could just graze my fingers along it, sweeping it into the tufts of his platinum blonde hair. Maybe for now it could be the only suitable thing to distract me.

"Mrs. Ambrosia" he looked up pinning his narrowed glare on me.

The tune of my voice had fizzled down into a croak so instead I just nodded.

"What was the name of the girl that died at Madeline Kingsley's party"

"V-Vera" tears swelled my vison into a blur "H-Her name was Vera Waters"

Matthew 10:28

28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
