Listen to MØ - Run Away

"Will the following students please make their way down to the principal's office" the monotonous intercom spoke "Rune Ambrosia, Madeline Kingsley, Prue Lavel, Juniper Huxley, Lana Mae Selene"

"How long are they all going to look at us like that?" Madeline sighed, tucking her hands behind her vintage 50's polka dotted pink dress as she walked.

"You usually love the attention Mads, something up?" Prue hummed, his dreadlocks on the verge of slipping off his head whilst the grin on his face lit up his playful lime eyes in contrast to his dark skin.

"Can you be any dumber? We're all getting interrogated for Vera's death yet you seem unfazed" she huffed.

"There's nothing to be worried about, we didn't do anything wrong" he shrugged, nonchalantly,

"That's not what they think"

"Well I'm just trying to think positive" he ruffled her high ponytail "Why would we kill our best friend?"

"They aren't sure how she died, all they know is that she choked on her own blood but it's not the cause of her death" Mads bit her lip.

"So you think she was murdered?"

"No, everyone loved Vera" I rested my head on Mads shoulder.

"Especially me, I can't believe we even dated at one point" Prue pointed his thumbs happily towards himself.

"You were both 5, you gave her a worm and she ran away screaming, I wouldn't exactly call that dating" I giggled.

"Close enough really, I gave her something close to my heart, nature's natural recyclers"

"I guess not everyone can be a hippie freak like you" Mads gave him a half-hearted smile, titling her head.

"Speaking of freaks what happened to your eye?" she gagged causing us all to look over to see Juniper holding up a packet of ice to his bruised pale turquoise eye, usually he would have his glasses on but that wasn't the case, so instead he propped them onto his spiked chestnut hair, accentuating his square face jaw.

"Did you try going after another married woman?" Prue swung his arm over Junipers shoulder.

"Please stop trying to encourage him Prue" I sighed, shaking my head.

"Hey that was a one-time thing and all I did was get him someone to practise his pick-up lines on"

"She gave me a restraining order" he frowned.

"I guess it worked out for everyone then, see problem sorted"

"Anyways where did your cheesy pick-up lines get you this time?" I clutched my hands.

"Turns out girls don't usually date guys who are murder suspects and there was the fact that she also had a boyfriend who just so happened to walk in on me complimenting her"

"Sounds fun, which pick-up line did you use?"

"The one about Tennessee"

"That's why it didn't work, I told you to use the one about Santa Clause"

"Yea, you're probably right"

"Or maybe it just because she had a boyfriend" Mads clipped her hands onto her hips.

"Who was the lucky girl?" I asked.

"Blaire Cerise"

"Forget the boyfriend thing you wouldn't have had a chance with her even if she was single" Mads laughed obnoxiously gaining her more glares. "She's the most popular girl in this school, I hope to be like her one day, I would have if this situation didn't happen and everything was going so well with that party"
