Jacobs looked at Miranda and she motioned for him to pick up the phone. He slowly pressed the answer button and took a deep breath before starting to talk.

Jacob-hello?

Doctor-yes hello Mr.Alexander this is your mothers doctor

Jacob-is their a problem

Doctor-she was having a few complications and now she just wants to see you

Jacob-ill be there soon

Doctor-ok bye

Jacob-bye

Jacob hung up the phone and ran his fingers through his hair….Miranda put her hands on both sides of his face and made him look at her.

Miranda-she ok?

Jacob-she was having complications and wants to see me

Miranda-then lets go

Jacob-im sorry about this…i-

Miranda-babe…no its ok. Your mother will always come first over anything.

Jacob-*smiles a little* im glad you understand

Miranda-ill always understand

Miranda smiles and kisses his cheek then sits down as he drives back to the dock they came from.  They then got to the car and drove to the hospital…Jacob was bit panicked because….he didn’t know what happened or what was going to happen…he just didn’t want to loose his mom. After a while they pulled up to the hospital and got out, Jacob held Mirandas hand as they walked into the hospital together…Jacob was squeezeing Mirandas hand. Miranda didn’t mind the pain as long as Jacob was calm and didn’t panick. They got to the door and Miranda let go and sat down in a chair infront of the door.

Miranda-ill wait out here, go see your mom

Jacob-she wants to meet you

Miranda-I know but right now…she just needs you

Jacob-alright ill be back

Miranda-ill be right here

Jacob smiled and then walked into the room. He saw his mom watching tv…she had more medications and everything around her…it made Jacob think….”was she going to die” but he pushed those thoughts out of his head as she turned to face him. She had a weak smile on her face but it was still a smile…and that meant everything to Jacob. He went towards her and held her hand.

JM-I see you were on your date, im sorry I dis-

Jacob-no….dont apologize….your my mom and I love you. I have to come and see you at a time like this, also Miranda was alright with it.

JM-where is she??

Jacob-waiting room

JM-bring her in here

Jacob walked to the door and waved Miranda to come in, Miranda stood up and walked to Jacob. She took his hand as they walked into the room together…Jacobs mom looked directly at Miranda and Miranda looked at her.

Miranda-hello mrs.alexander

JM-hello sweetie and call me Cassandra

Miranda-*smiles* ok

JM-Jacob….shes beautiful

Jacob-*smiles* I know…that’s why I asked her to be mine

JM-you did?? You picked a great one. Miranda you don’t know how happy you make him. He talks about you non-stop
