For the past few days…Jacob has been thinking of what happened back at that apartment…a bit part of him want to just tell Miranda and then beg for forgiveness but another part of him was afraid of losing the love of his life forever to one…two second kiss that should have never happened. Every day  he gets a message or voicemail from Kristy….she would tell him “do what I say or else”....”I’ll tell her you’re a liar”….”you love me and you know it”. He would just keep deleting the messages like it never happened; he just wanted to forget what had been going on. He was afraid to tell Miranda because he didn’t want to lose the girl he always dreamed of having over the skank he “loved” in high school because its not worth it. Looking back on those school years, he never realized how dumb he was for chasing after Kristy; bring her flowers….trying so hard for someone who didn’t even look his way. Now he’s struggling to keep together what he always wanted all because of her.

it’s about 2pm….Miranda and Jacob spent the morning watching a movie with the girls…they were starting to learn how to walk and it amazed Jacob that his little girls were actually 1 year old, saying words and smiling. It made his heart leap every time they did….he didn’t know how he could ever forget his girls. At this point in the day the girls are taking their naps….Jacob was taking a shower because he had a meeting later that day and Miranda was laying on their bed reading, waiting for him to be done. Then his head turned when she heard a vibration and saw a light flash….it was Jacobs’s phone, she didn’t think he would mind her seeing who it was…so she swiped the lock screen and up popped Kristy’s name. Part of the text read “ill tell her the truth”….Her??....all Miranda could think what….”did she mean me??” She opened the text further and saw a video…she pressed play and her eyes glazed over with tears as she watched the short 6 second video of her soon to be husband kissing…his old high school love. Tears began to fall down her cheeks onto the sheets of their bed…..why….why was this happening. She heard the bathroom door open and just got up from the bed rushing out the bedroom door and down the stairs. Jacob was confused but dried off and got dressed before going to the living room, he saw Miranda sitting on the couch looking down at something.

Jacob-baby….you ok??
Miranda-just dandy Jacob….so you never told me the things you needed to take care of a few days ago
Jacob-nothing important
Miranda-really??....so this video of you and Kristy isn’t important then
Jacob-what?!?

Miranda looked up at him, tears flowing more furiously down her cheeks at this point….she knew he was lying. She got up and shoved the phone at him.

Miranda-YOU KISSED HER
Jacob-Miranda don’t yell the girls are sleeping
Miranda-you lied to me…you fucking lied to me
Jacob-Miranda she did it and I pulled away quickly I didn’t know she would d-
Miranda-why the hell were you with her in the first place…at HER apartment…I TRUSTED YOU
Jacob-it was a MISTAKE
Miranda-why didn’t you tell me instead of just lie and have me find out this way
Jacob-because I was afraid of this…another fight
Miranda-I would have rather you told me the truth….you hid like you wanted to do more with her…did you?
Jacob-NO…Miranda do you hear yourself, it’s me….ok not Mark
Miranda-your starting to act like him

Jacob then got angry and got closer to her which scared her just a little because his rage has a mind of it own

Jacob-I am NOTHING LIKE THAT ASSHOLE AND YOU KNOW IT
Miranda-NO WHAT I DO KNOW IS THAT YOUR KISSED HER…SOMEONE YOU NEVER TOLD ME ABOUT AND USE TO FUCKING LOVE
Jacob-BUT I DON’T ANYMORE I LOVE YOU
Miranda-….why do I think that’s a lie??....I don’t know if I can believe that

Jacob then laughed with no humor and walked upstairs…that confused Miranda she wondered what he was doing.  After 5 minutes he came back down with a packed duffle bag and a plain face with some anger still lingering in his eyes.
