"Pottery and ventriloquy, candle-making, Then I'll stretch, maybe sketch, Take a climb, sew a dress . . ."

The night was getting darker, the stars sparkling in the sky shined even brighter than before. The full moon being the only light in the dark night sky for the creatures below.

The two had talked for hours and hours on end. They talked about themselves and their past, getting to know one another. All the while Suga laid on Emma's shoulder, falling in and out of sleep, listening to the conversation.

Jungkook had learned a lot about Emma and vice versa, though he had wondered on thing. He had wanted to ask when she had first brought it up, his mind went back to what she had said, ' . . . w-well, um, its been awhile s-since I've talked to anyone other then Suga . . .'

"If you don't mind me asking? What did you mean when you said you hadn't talked to anyone when we first meet?", the brunette tilted his head that rested on the back of his hands.

Emma glanced down at her lap and rubbed her hands together before answering, " W-well, the last person I talked to, um actually the only person I ever talked to, was my mother. Then when she left, I was alone. The only other "person" to talk to was Suga"

    "Why did she leave?"

Emma sighed remembering what had happened that day.

**********Flashback**********

Emma sat at the small table in the center room, quietly playing with Suga while she thought.

Her mother had left about five hours ago to get food, and would be back any minute.

The young woman was worried about her mother's reaction, for she had just cut her long blond hair.

She knew her mother loved her hair, but it was too long and got caught on everything.

She knew her hair had some kind of power to heal, but she didn't care.

So now she sat at the wooden table, her fingers tangling themselves into her dark black hair. Just waiting for her mother to arrive.

"Emma!!", came the disembodied voice of her mother from the towers base.

Emma quickly ran to the counter in the kitchen, grabbing the thick rope and tying a knot into one end for her foot, before throwing it out the window.

At the bottom of the tower, Emma's mother looked at the rope in confusion before slipping her foot into the knot and tugging the rope for Emma to pull her up.

When Emma's mother finally stepped into the tower her face fell into one of horror and rage, "What did you do to your hair?!?!!"

Emma was frightened, she knew that her mother would be mad, but she didn't think she would be this mad, "I-I cut it, mother. It was too long, I was getting it caught on everything."

Emma's mother ran to her, pulling the young woman's hair roughly.

This caused Emma to cry out in pain and fall to her knees, whimpering as she held her head in her hands.

"Do you have any idea what you've done?!!? I have no use for you anymore!!", her mother screeched, swiftly kicking the girl on the ground multiple times in the head and stomach.

Emma laid on the ground bruised and panting, looking up at her "mother" angrily walked around the tower. She was packing. She was going to leave Emma. The young woman was sad at first, but realized she was just beaten by this woman for cutting her hair. So Emma laid on the ground and let her mother leave to tower, without saying a word.

**********End of Flashback**********

"That's horrible, did she ever come back?", Jungkook leaned forward, worried about the woman he had been learning more about.

"No, she never came back. I haven't seen her since that day", Emma looked down at her hands that rested on the table, "She was the only person I ever interacted with, so when she left I had no one but Suga."

Jungkook's eyes widened as he realized something, "You never left the tower did you?"

Emma glanced up at the man in front of her before mumbling her answer, "No, I've been out of the tower before. Only when I needed food or water, though I've never been outside the tunnel."

The brunette glanced to the window as he thought, 'If she's never been outside this place, she probably doesn't get much food. That would explain why she's so skinny.' Then the young man got a sudden thought, he turned quickly to Emma, "Can I come back tomorrow?"
