The anti-void was as empty as ever.
Ink looked around. Error should be here like he was always was. Knitting, playing with his puppets and strings. Anything to past the time when he wasn’t destroying AUs. Of course, Ink knew that Error often explored the MultiVerse, but every time Ink visited him, Error was always here.Where was he?
He wasn’t at Outertale either. Weird, Outertale was always his favourite AU. Error visited this particular place every time felt overwhelmed.
Did something happen to him?
Ink teleported back to the anti-void.
Where was he?
That was when he saw the tiny scrap of paper on the white floor. Ink cursed himself. Yes, he might be a very talented artist who pays attention to detail while painting, but he tends to slip up at the most crucial times. He sighed and picked up the small parchment.
'Hey ink, I’m at grillbys, not the original, the new one, don’t worry, im not destroying anything.'
Error.
Ink blinked.
Error went to Grillby's?
The small pub Error was talking about was the one that appeared a few days ago in a whole new universe in the doodle sphere. It seems like the universe consisted only of Grillby’s bar, and nothing else but snow all around.
It’s a sad place.
Ink decided that it was supposed to be a place that can bring all of the alternate versions of Sans together, as they have similar personalities.
Grillby’s is a place they all appreciated.
Ink had never been in the universe before, except for his daily check-up on the AUs. But, he did wonder how the other Sanses suddenly got teleportation powers that exceeded the borders of their AUs. It seems like the Creators really want all us Sanses to get along.
Or maybe they have a deeper reason...
Error wasn’t really the type to get drunk, now that Ink thought of it. Yes, he has his temper tantrums and mood swings, not to mention his phobia of touch, but Ink had never seen Error drunk before.
Have I?
It was that thought that sent Ink into the universe. He wasn’t quite sure what it was named, something like Pay-your-tab-sanses AU, or something like that. Either way, Ink knew Grillby was never going to ask for the Sanses to pay their tabs.
No, this is a universe where all of these depressed and suicidal skeletons can release tension, the only place to escape for their repeating timeline, the resets and the genocides. Grillby was just an NPC, and he has specific lines to say to every Sans or Papyrus that visits his tiny pub, the only characters aware of this universe.
The coding in the universes are hard to explain sometimes...
It snows here. Just like in any other universe. Ink walked up to the bar, snowflakes already covering his scarf.
Ink took a step inside and instantly saw him. The floating error signs, along with his black-coloured bones made it an easy task for him. Ink walked forward and sat down beside him.
Thank god, he’s okay.
Relief washed over him as he scanned Error. He didn’t seem drunk or harmed in anyway. He didn’t even look like he was drinking, like most of the customers in here. Ink stopped. He didn’t know why, but he was always concerned about this skeleton. So scared something could happen to him, terrified that he might lose him. Ink shook his head to try to clear the thoughts.
