In your cell, you pounded on the glass. Your daughter wept somewhere behind you.

"Poe Dameron!" you screamed. "I want to see Poe Dameron!"

There was no way Poe was involved. He wouldn't let this happen, and he wasn't even aware of their intent when they landed on Jakku. They kept him in the dark for this. He must have cared too much to let you be used as bait.

You fell back against the wall, hands against your face. All you could do was wait.

                            ...

Kylo landed the Silencer on Jakku. He didn't want to believe it, but he saw the marks in the sand. The ship doors opened and he ran inside, overcome at once by the scent of home.

"___!" he cried out, storming the grounds. He checked the bedrooms and saw clothes strewn across the floor. Dishes were left unclean. Toys were gone.

You were gone.

It was true.

You were gone.

He collapsed on his knees in front of the bed - your bed. The sheets smelled of you. He had gone months without this, without even a single memory of you.

Did you know how agonizing it was for him?

He felt her before he heard her voice. When she spoke, his hands balled up tight into fists.

"Ben," she said behind him.

"I have nothing to say to you," he spat.

"I think you have a lot to say," she said.

"Leave me," he said. He felt her. He turned around, standing up. "Leave me!"

She didn't flinch, didn't blink. She stayed perfectly still, in the same clothes she wore when he last lost her in person. He approached her slowly.

"It's because of you that I can't communicate with her," he said. "Our connection-"

"Your leader put that connection there, not me," she reminded him. He fell silent. "I am not here to gloat, Ben. I am not here to torture you. I know where they are."

"Who?" he demanded.

She took a step closer. "Your family."

                            ...

You clutched your hair and bit down on your tongue as another contraction hit. It was the sixth one this hour alone, and it was pure agony.

Force, please don't let me give birth in a stupid cell-

The pain ebbed away, and you lifted your head, gasping for breath and smacking your sweaty palms against the floor. Your girls stood on the other side of the room.

"Mama?"

"I'm alright," you lied. "I'm fine." You felt a flutter of movement inside of you and touched your stomach. "We're gonna be okay, baby. It's just you and me a-and your sisters- and that is all we need."

Ten minutes later, another contraction hit. You were overcome by panic. They were so close.

As fast as you could, you stood up from the floor and walked to the door. You hit it three times.

"Hey, I-I need a medic!" you cried. Your insides tightened and you nearly curled over in pain. A strangled cry escaped your lips, and you felt warmth trickle out between your legs.

"Mama!" Adhara cried.

You hit the door. "I need a medic! My water broke," you gasped.

You stepped back from the door, unable to stand anymore. Your spine collided with the wall and you slid down, eyes squeezed shut, hearing the heartbeat loud in your ears.

You faintly heard a chorus of footsteps and a door hissing as it pulled open. Warm hands grabbed yours, then cupped your face, then brushed against your belly.

For a moment, you imagined it was Kylo.

You smiled, leaning into the palm, but when your eyes opened, it was Poe, his face full of concern. He yelled your name and you couldn't answer. The contraction was just beginning to go away. He slid his hands underneath you and scooped you up in his arms, running out of the cell with you.

                             ...

"You have them," he realized.

Rey nodded once.

"Give them to me," he said. "If anything-"

"They won't be harmed," she said. "I am willing to give you any information on where they are, Ben, if you listen to me." She smiled. "Leave the Order. I'll bring you to your wife. It's safer for them there than anywhere."

"I want to see her," he said, broken.

"I know you do. I can see it in your eyes. You miss her."

He swallowed.

"She's everything to you," she continued. "She's the reason you get up and fight. She is your first thought in the morning and your last one when you go to sleep. You want to give her the galaxy, always have, even before you met her-"

"Stop," he said, but he said it quietly.

"Then come with me," she pleaded, holding out her hand. He stared at it. "Ben. Please. Your children are there, waiting for you. Your wife is there, pregnant, Ben. You have to do this for-"

"Wait." He recoiled and stepped back. "Pregnant?"
