The New Boys In Town (Book Two)

Moving On

The rest of last night was fairly lonely for me, then again it has been for years.

I laid there in bed, I turned over to look at the clock. 

10 'oclock

Guess I should get up and greet the day.

I sighed getting out of bed.

I started walking out towards the living room, rubbing my eyes.

Once I got my focus back I screamed.

"Oh, sorry love. Didn't mean to scare you" A tall man with very curly hair said to me.

"I'm sorry to be rude, but I don't believe I'd talked to you yet." I said.

The curly haired man chuckled, "I'm Brian. Brian May, guitarist" He held his hand out.

I shook his hand, "As you know, I'm Lily Moore. Vocalist" 

We smiled at each other.

"I thought I'd come over so we could get to know each other much more" Brian smiled.

I nodded, "Sounds good, would you like anything, Brian?" I asked.

"No, thank you though."

I smiled at him as we sat down on the couch.

There was a moment of awkward silence.

"Lily, I know I only met you yesterday. But you seem so lonely and sad, what happened?" Brian asked.

I sighed, "Brian, it's a long story. It's just John, I guess. I miss him" I shrugged. "He was the love of my life and he didn't even want to leave me, but I made him go. I made him go to Yoko.." I admitted to him.

"You made him go to that crazy woman? But, Lily why? You're such a gorgeous girl yourself, I think if I saw you and John together, that would be perfect!" Brian said.

"Brian, it isn't that simple. Sean is John's son, I made him leave to take care of the baby and Yoko. It was heartbreaking, trust me, and even now I'm not over it. It's time for me to move on, yet I still don't know how-"

Suddenly a pair of lips touched mine. Brian.

Brian broke his lips off mine.

"I-I'm sorry... I'm so so sorry. I thought... I thought it would make you feel better..." Brian looked to the ground.

I started blushing, "No, no. Brian, it's alright. I-I understand you're trying to help. Thank you.."

Brian looked at me, "But I mean it. You are gorgeous..."

I blushed.

"Anyway, The guys and I are throwing a party over at our place. If you want to, you can come over. Fair warning, Freddie throws wild parties. You can come over tonight, you'll know it started once you hear music!" Brian said.

I turned to him, smiling.

"I'll think about it" I replied back.

Brian smiled, "Alright, well I better get going. Don't want the boys wonder where I went off to."

Brian got up from the couch and started to walk towards the door.

I got up as well, following him. "Brian, just so you know, that kiss can be a secret" I smirked.

Brian turned around, blushing "Thanks, Lily" He turned back around and walked out.

I smiled, It's time to move on.
