OAKSTRIPE looked at Heronskip, her eyes full of something he couldn't read. It was a short walk back to Oakstripe's village, but he still wanted to talk to her, and apologize again.

"I'm so sorry..." he meowed, flattening "his ears. "I shouldn't have acted so foolishly. I was jealous that you were talking to Dewleap alone."

She tilted her head at him, clearly asking why.

"I know he's married and everything.. but I have feelings for him."

Oakstripe discovered she could still laugh. She looked at him and smiled. Her eyes said,
"Obviously."

"It makes me so mad," Heronskip meowed as they approached the entrance to West Village, where Oakstripe lived. Flowers and vines ran along the entryway, and the two cats walked through.

Reaching Oakstripe's hut, Heronskip said his goodbyes and walked home.

And that was when he realized he had forgotten to talk about the prophecy to her.
