HERONSKIP did not sleep that night. He was so worried about Oakstripe and the prophecy that he collapsed in his nest after work without even saying goodnight to his sister.

Even the perfect world of the Brook Kingdom couldn't fix this. Everything was so well laid out in Heronskip's kingdom. King Lotusbrook had had a very peaceful reign so far— and he planned to keep it that way from what Heronskip heard around his village.

But come to think of it— the world Heronskip lived in really wasn't perfect. Everyone relied on praying to the Star Kingdom to keep them sane.

It was the same thing every day. There was a huge shrine made to honor the Star Kingdom, and there were usually makeshift preachers that stood and taught cats of the Star Kingdom's ways on a daily basis.

For the millionth time, Heronskip wondered what his prophecy could mean. It rang through his ears, unforgiving.

Darkness, darkness, surrounds this place.
If you find the spirit cat without a face,
Perhaps you can fix what has been built on lies.
Do this, come home, and unravel all the ties

And then it started to echo in his mind.
