Kabanata 2

Sofie's POV

Agad kong inayos ang aking kama pagkagising. Thursday na at ibig sabihin nito ay may pasok kami. It's already 7 AM at 10 AM ang pasok ko hanggang 3 PM ng hapon.

Bumaba na ako sa kusina at nakita sila Mama na inaayos na ang lamesa para makapag-almusal na kami. Agad akong dumalo upang tulungan sila sa paga-ayos.

"Good morning, Ma and Pa." I said before I kissed them on the cheeks. "Good morning Manang Cusita and Manong Marlon." I turned to them and flashed a smile. Mag-asawa sila at wala silang anak. They've been serving us for about 10 years.

Nagsimula na kaming kumain kasabay sila. Apat lang kami sa bahay and we're always making them feel na parte sila ng family namin.

"So anak, have you paid for it?" Papa asked as he wiped some stains on his lips with a clean cloth.

"Yes Pa, thank you so much po pala."

"You're welcome, anak." Mama said, "Gaya nga ng sabi ni Dad mo yesterday, way of us saying thanks na rin for making us proud. Alam mo naman, suportado ka namin on what you love."

Haaayy, I can't help but to smile! This feels so great. Having a parents not tolerating but supporting you instead on what you love to do as long as it's not affecting your personal life and issues.

"Thanks, Ma and Pa. Could never ask for more!" I said before we continued eating.

Nandito na ako ngayon sa University kasama ang mga kaibigan ko na sina Christine at JM. Christine is a Grade 11 student while JM is same as mine, Grade 12 but his— uhm, her, strand is HUMSS.

One more thing why we became friends is because we both love the DLSU Green Archers. Honestly, I really don't know how it all started. Basta, time flies so fast!

"I'm bored." Christine said as she tapped the table while we're seating in the canteen. "I want na gumala but you know I can't, I fucking have paper works to do. Gosh, I hate this."

"Better if you'll finish it first before we go gala." JM said. "You need to put academics first over anything else."

"JM is right, Tine. Balance your time. When you can do something right away, edi do it na agad. Para you can have a time to pamper with yourself!" I winked at her.

Ngumuso naman si Christine at pumangalumbaba, "E kasi naman, tinatamad talaga 'ko minsan. I don't know pero I'm sometimes feeling na I can't feel the same eagerness I've been feeling before to study. You know, minsan sinisipag, kadalasan tinatamad."

Natawa naman kami ni JM sa kanya, "Don't put the blame sa UE. Gosh it's new year! You should change beb, we better be better this 2018. Paano ka na lang papayagan nila Tito sa Saturday if hindi ka pursigido na mag-study?" I teased na nagpakunot ng kilay niya. JM and Christine will be with me on Saturday. They paid na rin.

"They already allowed me gurlie. Pero sige, I'll change for the better!" halakhak nito at saka kami um-order dahil may 25 minutes pa kami ngayong breaktime.

I'm currently here in our classroom listening to my professor's instructions about the work that will be passed next week. We still have 5 more minutes before the dismissal, 3 PM. Iba-iba kasi schedule ko.

"Questions, anyone? I won't be entertaining those who will ask via social medias, kaya magtanong na kayo and also tell your classmates that were not present today." he said as he pointed sa whiteboard sa may part ng lists ng mga absent.
