Sofie's POV
It's Monday and we have classes.
I kissed them before greeting them.
"Good morning po." I greeted which they answered with a nod and a smile.
"Pasok ka na ba?" Mommy asked na tinanguan ko lang. "Kumain ka na ba?"
"Ah hindi na po kasi maaga ang class ko kaya baka sa university na po ako magbreakfast." I answered.
"You wanna ride with us?" Dad asked and I shot him a curious glance.
"What do you mean dad?"
"Ako magdadrive since pinagpahinga ko muna si Manong for a week. I'll drive your mom sa UP and also you sa UE before ako pumasok sa hospital." Wow. I love my parents so much. Despite of all the blessings that they are receiving, their feet are still on the ground. They're very kind and generous. I'm indeed lucky to have them. Share ko lang. Proud e.
"Sure, Daddy!" I exclaimed at pumunta na kami ng garage.
Dad's on the driver's seat while mom's beside her at nasa likod naman ako. It's still 8:30 AM and ang class ko ay 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
After wearing our seat belts, umandar na ang kotse.
Dad's corny jokes filled the car and mom and I were bursting because of so much happiness. This is the family that I've always dream of when I was a kid and now, I got it.
It was 9:16 AM nang makarating ako sa university. I bid my good bye to my parents bago bumaba.
Couples filled the campus ground and varsity players whom you can recognize because of their jerseys. Philip Manalang, from University of the East's Men Basketball Team waved his hand on me and I waved mine also. We're kinda friends, he's my boy bestfriend before actually kaso mejo nalamatan ang friendship namin for some reasons. But now, we're in good terms naman. He's a friend.
"Sofie ko!!!!" he shouted bago tumakbo papalapit sa akin at binuhat pa ako.
"Hey Fi, put me down!!!!" I shouted to him kaya binaba na niya ako.
He smiled at me. That smile. That was the smile that made me fall for him before.
"I miss you." he said, smiling widely. I'm blushing right now for sure.
"I don't miss you too." I blurted out. But I'm lying. I really miss him because it was a year before I see him again. Wondering why e magkaschoolmate kami?
Cause he was sent to Australia for a year before the UAAP Season started. Some basketball professionals saw a potential on him that they brought Fi (his nickname for me) in Australia to play for a team. Hindi siya nakalaro last season pero this season, maglalaro na siya.
"Takas ako kay coach. Kain tayo." he suggested, ignoring what I said awhile ago.
I glanced on my watch, saying it's 9:25 AM and I got less than 5 minutes to climb the stairs for my first class.
"Hoy Fi, 5 minutes na lang klase ko na!" singhal ko kanya. Yeah, I've ditched classes for many times now pero I'm not in the mood right this moment.
