Kabanata 9

Ricci's POV

Nandito lang kami ni Prince sa bahay. Sobrang bored nga kami.

Kami lang ang naiwan ni Prince dito. Nandon siya sa kwarto niya at nagvivideo game. Ako naman nasa sala at nanonood ng PBA. Wala si dad dito, nasa AD. Si Rash naman inaasikaso yung OJT niya sa California.

I sighed. Gusto ko pa naman sana magmall ngayon kaso sabi ni dad bawal daw kami gumala na hindi siya kasama. Tsk, sana kasi nagingat ako.

I am currently watching the game of my fav team, Philadelphia 76ers VS Cleveland Cavaliers. 4th quarter na and there's only 3 minutes left. 76ers is ahead of 10 points.

Nang makashoot si Ben Simmons ay pasigaw na sana ko nang tumunog ang cellphone ko.

Hi, cci boy! Up for a call? I need to tell you something! ;)

She's Seth Rodriguez from UE Lady Warriors. We became quite friends the moment dad trained her in AD. Bakit naman kaya siya napatext?

I replied to her text,

To : UE Seth

Sup Ses! Sure, Im gonna call you. Make sure that’ll be worth my time, kidding! Hahaha

As soon as I've sent the message, I called her which she answered immediately.

"Cci!!!!"

"Yes?" I answered.

"I just want to invite you, Tito and your bros tomorrow on our game sa Araneta against the UP. Sagot ko na tix niyo!!!! Ano, g?"

"Uhm sure. Ako g. Pero I'm gonna ask dad and my bros if free sila. I'll just text you if g kami."

"Really? Okay! If go na kayo, padala ko na lang sa AD yung Patron tickets. Hope to see you there, boy!"

And with that, she ended the call.

I placed my phone beside me and shifted my gaze at the TV, 76ers won.

Before turning it off, I tweeted.

"Great W, 76ers 💯" which earned a lot of likes and retweets from the fans. I just shrugged at the thought.

Tumayo ako sa aking kinauupuan at pumunta sa second floor ng bahay namin. Don located ang rooms naming tatlo, and bukod yung kay mom and dad and sa remaining 4 little brothers ko.

Pumunta ako sa kwarto ni Prince na katabi ng kwarto ko. I didn't knocked at pumasok na lang sa kwarto niya. I saw him having a video chat with Eileen, her girlfriend. Wow okay mukhang bati na sila.

Nung nasa tabi na ko ni Prince ay kumaway ako kay Eileen which she responded din immediately.

"Wait, egg. I'll call you later may sasabihin lang ata si Cci." Prince told her on the video chat.

"Sure, meowsi. Check ko rin reports ko sa game on Sunday. Take care. Ikaw din Cci." She smiled.

"Ikaw din po. I love you." Prince said na nagflying kiss pa. Kadiri naman to, kalaki-laking tao gumaganyan pa pota.

"I will." Eileen chuckled.

Napanguso naman si Prince. Kadiri talaga. "San I love you ko?"

"Hay nako arte. Sige na, I love you too." and with that, she ended the video chat.

I saw Prince smiled widely as he turned to face me. "Ano?"

"Kadiri ka." natatawa kong sabi. "Clingy mo."

"Wow Cci coming from you?" balik tanong niya sakin.

I raised both of my hands as a sign of surrender. "Okay okay. Seth invited us on their game tomorrow against the UP sa Araneta. She said tickets were free na raw. G ka ba?"

"Sige sure. Sa Sunday pa naman game ng Spikers. Pero, wait. Ask mo si dad."

"Sige mamaya paguwi na lang niya."

Pagkatapos ko sabihin kay Prince ang plano ay pumunta na ko sa kwarto ko para magpahinga. I texted Rasheed din about it. Mamaya ko na lang sabihin kay dad yung tungkol don paguwi niya mamayang afternoon.

Nagising ako nang may tumapik sa mukha ko. Si Prince.

"Nasa baba na si dad and Rash. Kain na raw." he said before he left my room. I got my phone from my pocket to check the time. It's already 1:26 PM. I slept for almost 5 hours, huh?

Bumaba na agad ako nakita kong nandon na nga si dad and Rash. Nagmano ako kay dad at nakipagfist bump kay Rasheed.

"Buti naman di kayo lumayas." Dad said.

We didn't answered and just smiled na lang.

Kinalabit ni Prince ang binti ko. Probably he wants me to tell dad about Seth's invitation on their game.

"Uhm," I cleared my throat. "Dad."

"Yes?"

"Ano po, uhm. Uhm Seth called me po awhile ago. Uhm, she's inviting us sa game po nila tomorrow. Sagot niya na raw po yung tickets and ipapadala na lang sa AD if g na tayo."

Dad didn't answered. Sana naman pumayag. Isang araw pa nga lang akong di nakakalabas ng bahay e feeling ko masusuffocate ako sa sobrang boring dito.

"Pass," Rasheed butt in. "I can't make it. I have a lot of things to do pa. Just send my regards."

"Actually," Dad said before getting something in his bag. Woah! Those were tickets! "I got these since she called me rin awhile ago. I can't make it rin so kayo lang ni Prince ang pumunta."

"Yes po dad." we answered.

Inabot na samin ni Daddy ang tickets.

"Don't forget the things I told you guys the other day."

We nodded.

"And you two. Especially you, Ricci Rivero. No monkey business there."

Uhm dad I can't promise that, "O-okay dad."
