Iris Salt has it all. Perfect fiancé, perfect house, perfect figure, perfect style.
That's what they all say about her.
To the outside world, Iris Salt is the epitome of a modern and successful woman. She came from the slums of Birmingham to the city of dreams: London. She found herself the most sought after bachelor and built a business with him. It seemed nothing could knock the Queen of Camden from her throne of sublimity.
But Iris Salt doesn't have it all. Behind the smiles of her and her fiance, are fearsome sneers and raised fists. Behind the perfect house lies bedrooms filled with resentment and the moans of whores. Atop of the ideal figure is bruises and scratches. The glamorous clothes do well to hide the marks.
The tragic news that brings Iris back to Birmingham is almost a relief to her as she escapes the suffocacting life she leads. It's nothing compared to the relief she feels when she is reunited with her ex: Thomas Shelby
