I woke up to the sound of music.
The pain was mostly gone I noticed but it hung over me like a shadow. Finally I noticed where I was. It was my room except some things were different, it was cleaner, which creeped me out even more. I sat up or more accurately tried to sit up. I was met with a shockling sharp pain.

"I'm sorry but when people make the transition it isn't pretty, especially in your case." Said a cool voice. I swiveled around trying to get a look at who was talking.
"Now let's get a look at you." The voice said again. I heard a beep and the cable with electrified wires released me and I sat up and looked around.
"Raven Barfield, age 14, 5'3, 87 pounds. You were an especially hard one to figure out, since you hid you're mutant talents so well. But let me just say congrats to you, Raven, as you are prehaps the most powerful little creature we've encountered yet."
I swallowed hard, flinching at the word mutant.
"It seems to me you don't even know what you can do yet, which is extraordinary, considering your powers you could have killed Miss. Danod if you knew how."
Anger flushed through me and the lamp on the nightstand shattered. For some reason Dr. Lumos smiled. For some other reason I knew his name was Dr. Lumos. It was almost like I could see what he was thinking, and I knew he was not on my side.

"Would you like to know what happened?" Dr. Lumos asked.

"What?" I asked genuinely confused.

"With Ginger of course, you see there is a security camera in Mr. Bane's office, we can reach the footage any time. So, would you like to?"

"Yes." I said not trying to look to anxious.

"Well then come with me." Then Dr. Lumos started out the door.

We walked along a white hallway which didn't match my 'room.' Finally we came into a movie screen kind of room, except it was lined with desk, each set with a plain white notebook and pencil.

"Choose whichever desk you want." He said in a monotone voice. I chose the one closest to the screen.

"Start it." To no one I could see.
Then the footage started.

"Miss. Danod please have a seat." Instructed Mr. Bane. Ginger sat in the only chair in front of the very large desk.
"Now then,  please tell us everything you know about Miss. Barfield." He instructed.

"She's just an average popular girl." Ginger said simply.

"Yes, but have there been any strange occurances, with Miss. Barfield involved." Mr. Bane pressed the excitement lighting up his eyes.

"I'm sorry but where is this leading to?" Ginger replied fiercely, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Well Miss. Danod, your friend happens to be a mutant." Mr. Bane said nervously. Shock lit up in Ginger's eyes.

"I knew it!" She breathed. "You see there were a few rare occasions, when I thought but could never prove it."

"Go on." Said Mr. Bane looking as if he knew this all along.

"Well about a year ago, there was this man. Raven and I were walking home when he approached us. He said to get in the car or he would shoot us. Something happened and he crumpled to the ground. The doctors said his organs had started attacking each other, but I knew, something was wrong. There were more than just that. Occasionaly Raven would ask something and before I could answer it's like she already knew what I was going to say before it came out of my mouth. Like today. " Ginger smiled triumphantly.

"Thank you Miss Danod. You may go back to the audotorium with the others and do not mention this to Miss.Barfield.

"What's going to happen to her?" Ginger asked.

"Well one of our colleagues will eventually catch her."

"Eventually?" Mr. Bane looked as if he hoped she would ask that.

"Unless of course you would help us. You see Raven trusts you. She is also about to begin the transistion phase which is very painful. We need you to offer to take her to the bathroom, and then shoot her with this." He said producing a tranquilizer gun.

"I'll do it gladly." She took it and started out the door.

Then it was over. Ginger's  smile still frozen on the screen.
Before I knew what was happening, all the pencils on every desk floated in the air and stabbed Ginger's face on the screen, one after another.
