Finally Safe

Chapter 12

CHARLOTTES POV

We hung out all afternoon until he left at five. I'm actually excited for the football game tonight and I hope he wins. I start getting ready since the game starts at seven. I'm trying to decide between my yellow sun dress or my white one.

Buzzzz

I race over to my desk and open my phone as fast as I can. Instead of seeing Jase for the caller ID, it says unknown number again. I take a deep breath before opening it.

Unknown#: •Well, well, well, it's good to see your still scared. Sleep well Char. >=]

Attached to the message was a picture of me spraying Jase with the pepper spray. This is when I started to have the panic attack, which took 27 minutes and 36 seconds to calm down from. How did he find me already. I decided to deal with it later, tonight I'm going to have fun.

I decide on the white dress, it hugs my torso with a heart shape neckline, and it flares out a little on the lower half. I pair it with some black sandals, do light makeup, and have my hair wave naturally. I take my 6" black stilettos and put them in the trunk of Blaire's car. They are my in case of an emergency heels.

We all get in the car and head for the stadium. It's huge and there is a ton of people, I'm not sure how well I'll do but I'm going to try. I follow the girls and we manage to get seats in the first row by the home teams bench.

Literally every seat in the stadium is filled and you can feel the excitement. The teams come running out and I start cheering with everyone else. I see Jase leading the team and he's looking in the stands. We make eye contact and a huge, gorgeous grin appears on his face. He taps his nose twice with his pointer finger and winks at me. Now I'm the one with the big goofy grin as I do the same to him.

The game is fun, but really long, I'm mostly just happy it's going good so far.

"Wow, this is crazy," Lexi is watching the game play out as she says this.

"What is," I know nothing about football.

"I've seen Jase play really good before but never like this. This is literally such an amazing game he's playing like a pro. He seems extremely determined to win."

I can't help it when I start laughing and Lexi gives me a look that says I'm crazy. I don't bother to explain I just focus on the game again.

Jase actually won.

We're going to be going on a date.

In like fifteen minutes.

I'm literally so nervous and happy I grab my shoes from the car and head over to where the team is still on the field. I wait while the guys finish talking then Jase runs over to me.

"Hey Sunshine, I won, looks like we're going on a date," he smirks at me.

"Yeah I guess we are, you deserve the reward. You got the crap beaten out of you, and not by the other team." I give him a big smile and he feigns hurt.

"I should also be allowed a kiss since I won,"

This freaks me out a little but I decide to go along with it. "I think your right," he has a look of surprise but he can tell I'm serious. He leans into me and I can feel our lips centimeters apart. He's about to press his lips to mine, but I turn my head and he ends up giving me a kiss on the cheek. I start laughing so hard and he is mad.

"That's not fair you can't turn your head at the last second!! Why are you teasing me!!" he's whining and it's adorable I run away from him but I don't get very far. His legs are so much longer than mine and he gets me easily, not that I mind. He wraps his arms around my waist from behind and lifts me up. He moves his mouth to my ear and I can feel the heat from it.
