She looked up at me. "Please tell me this is the last secret!!" She whined.
I prepared myself for her reaction, "Okay so Lexi kinda told me about the window. So I sorta freaked out for your safety and hers. You weren't telling any of us about your past and both times we called Emily, she told us she didn't do the so called prank. I was really worried so I may or may not have hired a private investigator to dig into your past. But the good news is that he couldn't dig up a lot because most of it was extremely classified. Did I mention how beautiful you look today, cause damn you are so gorgeous right now!" I threw my hands over my face prepared for the pepper spray.
A few seconds passed and I wasn't maced, so I took a quick peek over my hands to see her grinning at me. She burst out laughing and I slowly removed my hands from my face.
As she got ahold of herself she said, " I kind of figured she told you by the way you were acting around me. As for the investigator, I'm not surprised, you don't know how to stay out of anyone's business. Damn I have you whipped good though!! I guess whenever I need a compliment, I know to threaten you with my mace."
We both started laughing and I tucked her back under my arm.
"Trust me Sunshine, you will not go two seconds without a compliment from me, mace or not." I gave her a peak on the lips.
