So, my story has been gone for a little while. Luckily I typed it up on Word so that I could continue.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After about 4 hours, I was finally done apartment hunting. There were a lot of failures I'm not gonna lie. However, there was one that I fell in love with almost instantly. It was up on a decently high floor overlooking the city. The walls were mainly brick and there were huge windows. It was only a bachelor so it wasn't huge. But it's not like I need anything more. It was already 9:00 and by the time I got home it would be almost 11:00. I figured, I'm already going to break curfew so why not just break it even more. I stopped by my favourite underground cafe for a bite.

"Alli, aren't you a little late for curfew?" A familiar voice asked. I looked up to see James, my favourite barista.

"Shhh" I laughed as I put my finger to my lip signaling to be quiet "I'm not here". After I finished up my coffee and my sandwich, I decided that I really had to go.

It was just after midnight when I finally got back and Elise was standing at the door.

"Shit" I murmured under my breath.

"'Shit' is right Alli! It is TWO hours past curfew! But, I'll let it go. Only for today." She had a smile creeping up to her ears.

    "Why?" I asked carefully.

"I read your mail..." She hints while waving an envelope in my face. I catch a slight glimpse of the corner of the envelope and see the large purple letters. 'NYU'. Oh my god. This is it. This is my make it or break it moment.

"Alli..." She dragged my name along for about 10 seconds until she finally announced it. "YOU GOT IN!" I swear I just about passed out and died. Okay, maybe that's a little bit of an over exaggeration. But I did cry. Half because I was happy, the other half, I was slightly sleep deprived. I grabbed the envelope out of her hand, grabbed my letter and started to read.

'Dear Ms. Harte, I am pleased to inform you that you have been accepted into-"

I didn't even need to finish. I did it. I actually got accepted. I gave Elise a huge bear hug and ran upstairs to scream into my pillow. In the midst of all my silent screaming, I heard the familiar ding coming from my phone.

    Hey, you up? It's Adam.

Oh my god, Matt. I honestly didn't think he would text me, I thought it was more less just him being nice. Wow, it really is a good day.

Hey Adam, yeah I am. Whatchu upto?

I was actually wondering if you had any plans tomorrow ;)

Was he actually about to ask me on a date? Like an actual date? Like two people in a romantic setting?

    Not at this particular moment

Well how about we go get coffee, say around 3?

This is it. My first date. I feel like I'm in a dream. First, I get accepted into my dream school, then I find my dream apartment, and now I'm going on a date with the dreamiest person I've ever seen. I text back,

Coffee sounds great :) I know the perfect place
