Third Person POV:
Santana, Blaine, Kurt, Finn, and Rachel all waited quietly in the elevator. Today was the fourth day they'd be visiting. They didn't expect it to last this long. It would be a lie saying that some of them weren't losing hope. No, they were worried. As much as they don't know about this boy, and how much pain he's caused, no person deserves what he's going through, and even then they aren't even sure what that is.
Despite being so close with each other, they can't seem to talk about the situation any further than what's right and wrong. They haven't experiences anything like this and honestly don't know how to handle it.
The ring of the elevator and the opening of the door brought everyone back to reality. They walked out, the same pattern as before. Kurt, Rachel, Santana, and Blaine all sat down in the cold plastic chairs as Finn walked up to the front desk. The four friends stayed quiet, simply reading or staring blankly, but whatever they were doing, they were all listening closely to Finn's conversation, but no one would admit it.
"Is he awake yet?" Finn asked the lady at the front desk. He knew her name. Everyone did. Molly. She knew them. Despite only seeing her three time, today being the fourth, both sides had caught on.
Molly looked up, confused but smiled once seeing it was Finn.
"Actually, yes." Molly smiled. Finn was taken aback.
"Wait, actually?" Finn asked.
The four friends who had been listening in, all rushed standing up and walking over, crowding Finn. Surprised but wouldn't deny the speck of concern in the corner of their minds.
"Yeah, he woke up yesterday, a few hours after you stopped by. You may see him now if you'd like?" Moll said, she couldn't stop smiling. She loved moments like these.
"Don't we have to be like family or something?" Santana asked, confused.
"That's only if the patient is in serious critical condition. Mr. Smythe is no, we expect to have him released by tomorrow at the latest. A few hours the earliest." Molly announced.
The group of friends couldn't help but smile brightly, looking at each other with a chuckle. Realizing they had worried for nothing. They looked back at Molly.
"314, right?" Finn asked, his smile showing through his voice.
Molly just nodded.
The group of friends would have rushed over to the room, but they still worried. They didn't know how Sebastian would react. No one really could. They weren't even sure if Sebastian remembered anything. The Doctor's hadn't told them much. Simply the injuries. A broken wrist. Bruised deep tissue around his ribcage. And a head injury that they wouldn't know the severity of until he woke up. There had been no updates. So, for all they knew, Sebastian could remember nothing. Or maybe everything. The friends couldn't decided which was better.
But they didn't have time to decide, the room was only 2 doors down. Finn was first, holding onto the warm door handle as he waste no time, pulling it down and walking inside.
The room seemed brighter. The lights were on, and a bright level of hope flew in molecules around the air. Swaying past their heads and down to Sebastian. He was on his back. A cast placed on his arm, his body placed in a Hospital gown, covered by the scary blue blanket that denied them from seeing any further injuries. The IV drip in his arm would typically set some of them uneasy, but suddenly, they didn't mind. Their eyes wandered up to his, slowly opening reluctantly. This boy had too much regret. His body seemed relaxed, finally. But his eyes told a different story. A story with an unhappy ending. There was pain and breaks and so much hatred that not even Sebastian himself understood it all. He blinked away confusion as the friends walked inside, closing the door behind them. They didn't surround him, just stood beside him. No one knew who would be first to speak. But it was quickly decided.
"Morning sleeping beauty." Finn smiled, joking. His hand stuffed in his pockets.
Sebastian chuckled, keeping his thoughts lockets as he looked to the side, out the window and back to them. Losing his smile as confusion took over.
"How long?" He asked.
"Today's the fourth day." Rachel replied. Sebastian just nodded, no reaction whatsoever but acceptance.
"Do you remember what happened?" Blaine asked.
"I remember waking up yesterday." Sebastian was truthful, but hid the rest.
"Anything before that?" Blaine asked once again.
"No, not really." Sebastian lied. Everyone bought it. He was just so good at acting. Sebastian thought about how he should be awarded, he's acted happier more than DiCaprio has acted in his whole career. But that's the thing, if you're a good actor, no one knows you're faking it. Let's just see how longer he can hold out this little scene.
The group of friends nodded in understandment. Most of their worried subsided. Sebastian still wasn't honestly sure how to react. For once he felt happy, and he didn't know how to express nor react to that feeling.
There wasn't much talking after that. But no one seemed to mind. Just the simple presence beside him made Sebastian happy enough. To know that despite all the voices in the back of his mind, banging on the door like they were the authorities, he had people in his life that seemed to care whether or not he was living. And that was all he needed right now. But he couldn't help but ask himself if the door would break down, and all those wretched voices would take over. He didn't have any precautions, just him and his thoughts, bordering the bad from the good and right now, right now they all seemed to have a pass over.
Obviously I'm not a professional writer, so if you have any suggestions, let me know :P I feel like this chapter is really short, but I don't know what to do about that. See ya next Friday!
