THANK YOU FOR ALMOST 600 VIEWS ON THIS DUMB STORY!
Third Person POV:
Sebastian started to open his eyes. He was going back to an experience he was all to familiar with. Waking up after not fully remembering what had happened. But he knew that in a few moments it would all come flooding back. So he cherished the few moments of innocence he got. Holding onto them like oxygen.
His vision was blurry, but a few pushed down blinks and it was washed away. He blinked away his tiredness as well, prying his eyes open and looking around. There were so many figures around him. But his mind was too jumbled to realize what was going on.
"And the beast awakens." Someone says. Sebastian scoffs out happily.
"Thanks, Bar." Sebastian says. Realizing the people around him consisted of more than just his brother and his own wretched thoughts. The McKinley kids were there too. He couldn't decided yet if he enjoyed that or silently wished it wasn't true.
Sebastian starts to sit up in his bed. Pushing down to get up. He's weak, but he refuses to admit it. He wants to be independent. And so he shall. So he sits up, leaning against the soft bed in a more comfortable position. It was only then he realized he was in a hospital bed. He feels over the IV drip that resides in his left arm. Second time. Too many. But then again, he doesn't feel anything else wrapped up. So he must be fine, right? He doesn't observe much more, he deems it unimportant at the moment.
"What happened?" Sebastian asks.
"You passed out." Finn states.
"That's nice." Sebastian mumbles out.
"You hit your head before we could get to you..." Blaine starts.
"You hit it pretty bad." Kurt finished.
"There was blood. Not to mention the fact that I'm quite squeamish." Rachel adds on.
"Luckily you only tore a little bit of the skin that covers your skull. Nothing serious." Santana mentions.
"We all insisted on taking you to the Hospital. But Barry said he'd get you there faster. We didn't believe him, but he must have gotten there in seconds or something, no idea how he got there so quickly." Finn chuckles. Barry chuckles nervously back.
Sebastian had stayed quiet the whole time. Remembering the whole situation with his Dad. They had all seen it. Of course that bothered him. But the point was, nothing was going to get better with his Dad. Their relationship was ruined a while back, and now it was just worse. Sebastian wasn't really sure what to do at this point. Everyone seemed to catch on to his behavior.
"Hey." Barry placed a hand on Sebastian's leg. Reminding Sebastian of when Barry was in the Hospital. Sebastian looked up at him, "Everything will be alright." Barry gave him one of his famous smiles.
Sebastian wanted to go along with it. Say that everything would be a-ok. But...it wasn't going to be. Nothing was going to go back to normal. At least not for a while, let alone ever. Nothing would ever be the same, and he hated that. He wanted to tell everyone that he was fine. He was going to be Ok and so were they. That this was just a little bump. Nothing they couldn't get through. But...Sebastian was getting real tired of lying. He couldn't do it anymore. He'd given up on a lot of things. Faith. Hope. Family. Friends. Himself. And it was about damn time he gave up on lying to himself and others as well.
"Barry," Sebastian looked up at his brother, "It's really not. It's really not going to be alright." Sebastian's voices was a little cracked, but strong. Barry looked at him sympathetically. Sebastian didn't have to look at the others to know they were giving the same look.
"Come on, Seb. You can't think like that." Barry started, but Finn butted in.
"No, he's right. Things aren't going to be Ok. Not from here. But that's alright. It's Ok if things are broken." Finn added on.
"How is that Ok?" Sebastian argued lightly.
"Because, you've got us." Finn said softly, "And that's enough."
Sebastian couldn't say anything. He didn't know what to say. He still had the urges to make rude remarks. But they've died down. He couldn't explain his feelings and he really didn't want to at this point. He just listened and let the word warm his heart. He looked over at Barry. Barry nodded with a smile.
"I've got you, bro. We'll help you out. I'll help you out. With Dad. With healing. With yourself. With everything." Barry promised.
Barry had promised all these things. And Sebastian believed him. It wasn't hard. Sebastian had trouble with trust. It was pretty self explanatory. But, the main problem was himself. How could he trust someone else when he can't trust himself? But right now, it didn't matter if he trusted himself or not, because he knew, he most definitely knew, that everything was going to change. For better or for worse...Everything was going to change.
