"Where is that hair clip?"
Misty was excited. She was going to spend the whole day with Ash. She searched her room for a hair clip. A maid had helped her wash her hair last night and now it was much longer and messier.
She looked in a box that was given to her by her grandmother before she died. Inside where different colored hair clips. Some even sparkled in the ray of sunlight. She quickly brushed back her hair and clipped the pink sparkly clip to make a neat bun.

Before she left, Misty checked herself out in the mirror. A pale pink dress with daffodil yellow ruffles at the sleeves. The bottom of her dress fit perfectly around her waist. Underneath were light pink flats. She didn't mind wearing them because her feet didn't hurt like the other princesses.

Misty stepped outside her bedroom.
There was no one in sight. The ladies were in the reading room, discussing Serena's up coming ball, even Dawn. Misty wanted her to help, but she was to afraid that she might get in trouble and that would spoil the whole thing.
She quietly walked against the carpeted floors. She sometimes had the habit of walking to hard, which earned cold stares from the other ladies. When she reached the first floor of the castle, she heard laughing from down the hall. The reading room.

At that moment, Misty heard a certain voice growing louder. She was uncertain who it was so she hid behind a corner. She peeked out to see who it was, and it turned out to be Dawn. Misty wanted to say something, but she knew the walls had ears. She watched Dawn continuously walk down the hall and disappear.
Misty sighed and continued to walk to the doors that lead to the gardens. She would then use the gate that lead to the entrance and Ash would be waiting for her there. She hoped her father would be tied up in a battle. He was lost in his thoughts when it came to battles.

Her prediction was right.
Lord WaterFlower was tied up in a battle. Misty watched as her father called out orders to his Pokémon, the Staryu attacking the trainer's Bulbasuar. Misty quickly walked over to the gate and opened it without a problem.
Before she left, she had made plans to back before afternoon, around 3:30. This was when the ladies had to be in musical rehearsal. They had already done their ballet classes earlier, again, getting yelled at by James because Misty wasn't pointing her toes correctly.

Ash smiled once he saw Misty.
"You look lovely, my dear," Ash said. He stood up straight from leaning on his Ponyta. Pikachu smiled in agreement and so did Ponyta, even though it looked a little tired. The flames of its tale and mane where low not to burn anyone.
"I need a bit of fresh air," Misty told Ash as she began to climb on top of Ponyta. "I haven't had any since I've been chosen as a princess."
The age for a girl in any Region was 10 years old. Before she had turned 10, she had a blast running around, chasing boys even though her parents did not approve. She would even have lovely conversations with the maids before going off to sleep. Misty loved exploring and was the first out of all princesses in the castle to learn how to do something (cooking, washing hair, etc). Dawn was the second.

"Well, consider yourself lucky," Ash said. "I'm an only child. I really don't have to worry much, besides Gary always nagging at me half of the time. I'm usually the one doing errands while my mother is taking care of the palace."
Misty wrapped her arms around Ash. She felt the breeze whipping past her. She looked behind her as her home disappeared. She couldn't believe that she was out of the castle grounds without anyone older than her. It was forbidden to go outside the castle without the ladies with you.

Misty felt unsure about the consequences she would get when she got back. Although the ladies would be wrapped up in their conversations about the ball, someone where to soon find out that she had left. She took a deep breath and let everything go. It was her day with the prince of Pallet, and nothing was going to get in her way of doing so.

Meanwhile, back at the castle.....
Mallow and May walked down the hallways towards the big library. They were to do their studying before their music lessons. Dawn, Serena and Iris where already there, reading their books. The three Cerulean sisters would meet them there later.
Mallow went to go look for a book in one of the isles while May quickly walked over to Iris, already having her chosen book with her. Iris looked up from her book and then looked over at Dawn, who was deep into a book about Coordinators.
