Gratitude

As each day begins in gratitude
Each night should end the same
An attitude of gratitude
Is what's keeping me sane

Every day I pray all day
Because it's necessary
For I am nothing with out faith
When my future looks scary

If I have nothing in this world
The best thing to have is God
I don't need platinum, diamonds, or pearls
My heart and soul means more

I'm grateful for the little things
We frequently ignore
Something a simple as air to breathe
And food in my cupboard

My offspring look up to me
I serve as their example
And God comes over everything
His blessings are prompt and ample

A grateful heart and positive mind
Are key elements to peace of mind
Then all will fall into place in time
The paradox unravels in the paradigm
