As each day begins in gratitude
Each night should end the same
An attitude of gratitude
Is what's keeping me saneEvery day I pray all day
Because it's necessary
For I am nothing with out faith
When my future looks scaryIf I have nothing in this world
The best thing to have is God
I don't need platinum, diamonds, or pearls
My heart and soul means moreI'm grateful for the little things
We frequently ignore
Something a simple as air to breathe
And food in my cupboardMy offspring look up to me
I serve as their example
And God comes over everything
His blessings are prompt and ampleA grateful heart and positive mind
Are key elements to peace of mind
Then all will fall into place in time
The paradox unravels in the paradigm
