Uh so hi I'm Keith, and I guess, dear diary?
So I've never really done this whole diary thing before but about a week ago I got a really early birthday present from Shiro, a small empty book called a journal. We both kinda talk about our life angst together since we've both been through a bit of shit, to summarise he's my best friend. Uh anyways, he said that writing about my life would help me feel better about how shitty it actually is (he obviously didn't phrase it like that). Being an orphan isn't difficult itself, I mean, I never met my parents so that doesn't concern me and I can't say that I miss them. What sucks is the trust issues, and panic attacks I'm stuck with when people get too close. Although there have been a few people who have somehow managed to break through these walls of mine, but I'll mention them another time. Back to the diary, so here I am writing in my room, an-Keith shut his book and dropped his pen as soon as he noticed his door slowly opening. The raven haired boy practically threw his book under the sheets just in time so the girl didn't notice, how would he explain he has a diary?
That girl was now standing in his wooden door frame, wearing the same Blue skinny Jeans and tight purple shirt Keith saw her in earlier today. Her auburn hair sat at her shoulders wavy and curly. She held a smile on her face, teeth included.
"hey pretty boy, dinners ready"
It was sky, his foster sister, Sky had 3 other siblings (4 if your generous enough to included me). The oldest of the trio was her sister Tilly, the youngest position was taken by her and her brother Eli sat in the middle. Their dad and Casey's second husband was an alcoholic meaning her parents were divorced and she almost never saw him. Keith had met her father once and he hated the man's guts for all the hurt he put sky through.
Although they were only related through paper work, those two had a much closer bond then Keith had ever had with any of his foster familys and it helped that Sky never felt threatened by him. He protected her and she protected him.
Sky knew briefly about Keith's troubles but not enough to truly understand them.
Sky was moving in with her Nana in just a few days so she can be closer to the university she will be starting in just a few weeks whilst Keith was still a year 10 in one of the most fucked up schools he had ever been forced to attend. Sky moving away meant Keith would never need to tell her about his depression or anxiety and she would never need to worry about him, but of course she did anyway.
"thanks but I'm not really hungry" Keith wore a shy smile as he replied.
Her sigh was followed by a shrug as she closed the door behind her. Keith began to hear the faint sound of footsteps slowly fading and getting further away.
Sky walked into the kitchen were she saw her boyfriend, Jake. His red hair was curly and messy again and his freckles sat faintly under his brown eyes, but Sky seemed to like it that way. Keith's foster mum, Casey, came into the room with a smile and then a shimer of worry in her eyes as she tied her thin, long black hair into a to-tight pony tail.
"Where is Keith?"
The auburn haired girl simply rolled her eyes.
"He said he wasn't hungry"
She waved her arms around whilst trying to explain before turning to her boyfriend and giving him a quick kiss as she went to grab her bowl and some cutlery.
"He didn't eat anything the last time I was over either"
Jake joined Sky at the table and Casey followed.
"Don't worry mum he's a teenager he'll be fine"
-location movement brought to you bye the author being terrible at transitions-
Keith scrambled through the sheets and retrieved his journal. It was a small red book with bold crimson writing on the front spelling "KEITHS DIARY" with a weird v underneath it. The book itself had a material strap to keep it closed and little floral prints that were coloured with a lighter shade of red.
Keith picked his pen off the ground and continued writing.
and thinking about what is coming up. My birthday is soon and so is the party I was forced to hold. The group and I (including people I don't even talk to) are going Ice skating because hey can I be even more gay,
//an- I swear that is not meant to be offensive//
then a couple of the guys are staying over afterwards. Then, there is my actual birthday that could be on the same day as the 1st day of death in a building aka school, oh yeah, and school. Can't wait to go back to that shithole it'll be my first year wearing the upper school uniform I'm scared the white shirt is gonna be see through.
//an- at my school lower school (7,8 and 9) wear blue shirts but the upper school (10,11 and 12) wear white shirts//.
Anyway I guess that is it for now. I don't really know when I'll write again but I'll try to make it soon I guess. And with my depression and stuff, I do want to get better, that's why I'm doing this hole journal thing.
I do want to get better
Sincerely Keith
Keith eventually closed his journal after scanning the words and adding two more details.
Oh so hi I'm Keith, and I guess, dear diary? 12•1•18
Sincerely Keith Xx
Keith put the strap over the Journal and swiftly leaned over to place it in the draws next to his bed. He then got up to turn off the light. Behind the head of his bed was a power panel, there were only ever two cords connected to it.
1. His speakers cord that sat above the draw he held his journal in.
2. His phone charger. He placed his phone on charge, wincing at the bright light the screen showed when first put on charge, and hopped into the black and white coloured covers. His pitch black room was a comfort for him. It made the glow-in-the-dark stars that surrounded his main light so much clearer. He always had trouble sleeping without those stars, they were a sign of peace for him.
Keith's violet eyes began counting the stars one bye one.
One. He relaxed, instantly finding a comfortable position, one arm above his head and under the pillow and the other resting easily on his thin torso.
Two. He yawned. Feeling himself safe, relaxed and sleepy.
Three. He stretched a little bit before returning to his comfortable position.
Four. He felt his eyelids growing heavy, his long eyelashes caressed his skin as they fell upon his cheeks just before the inky darkness took over. The last thing he remembered?
Five.

Welcome to Keith's diary :) I've always wanted to portray my life through a favourite show of mine and here it is!I know that this chapter really only had Keith and the first few probably will mainly be him and the added characters but the other characters will have much more important roles when I go back to school.... Especially Lance.
