"H-hi Ms. Diana" my student Tony, who also has downsydrom came in.

"Hi tony, how was your weekend?"

"Fun m-me and m-mummy went to park" he said looking around

"Wow did you have fun?" he nodded putting his backpack in his cubby. "well look we have a new student today, her name is Alice and she also has Down syndrome, and she's going to be your sitting buddy, okay" I said holding Tonys hand taking him over to Alice.

At about 7:50 my whole class was here. there where 7 student in this class. After letting them settle in their seats I spoke up.

" Hi guys" I smiled "did you all have a fun weekend?" I asked and they all said yes, and one of my students Max raised his hand.

"Yes max?" I asked

"I didn't have no fun weekend cause, cause I wasn't in no school with Ms. Ms. Diana" he said looking down. he was just the cutest thing.

"Oh Max that's so sweet but you don't need me to have fun" I smiled and he nodded and said yes

"Okay class, so we also have a new student today, her name is Alice, let's all say hi to Alice." and there were many 'hi Alice's' going on. after introducing Alice we started out counting lesson which is we all count to 10 then 20 then 30 and up to 100, which they seem to enjoy it. We also checked on your butterflies which was this net in out classroom that had cacoons in them and we have to wait until the butterflies hatch. they all seem to like starring at it and counting how many, so far none if them have hatched out, our last thing we did was story time all the kids go to the back of the classroom and sit on a pillow and I'll read them a book or two. today I read them, 'Green eggs and Ham' and 'one fish two fish red fish blue fish' they all like Dr. Seuss and the rhyming.

" Okay do you have everything in your backpacks?" I asked they all said yes and I helped a couple of them tie their shoes or zip their coats. At 12:30 their parents were all here, except little Alices' brother.

"Let's just wait 10 more minutes to see if your brother gets here before calling your mum okay Alice." I said she smiled and nodded. "do you want to read another book with me? she nodded. I held her hand and we went to the back of the class. she sat in a Beenie bag and I sat on the floor next to her. She had chosen the book 'The cat in the hat'

Half way through the book someone came in knocking on the door and a little out of breath.

"Hi, sorry I'm so late" he said out of breath

"Uh hi ,yeah that's fine" I smiled "I turned over to Alice who was still laying on the Beenie bag hugging a pillow fast asleep.

"She tends to do that a lot when she's really comfortable and it's quiet, she just knocks out" her brother said "oh and by the way I'm Danny" Danny said sticking his hand out for a handshake.

"I'm Diana" I said shaking his hand and we kinda just stood there starring at eachother awkwardly.

"Okay so uh, do you want me to wake her our are you going to carry her out?" I asked

"Uh well can you wake her, or she'll have a tough time sleeping later" he chuckled. I nodded and went ad crouched down next to Alice.

"Hey sweety, your brother Danny is here, it's time to leave now" I whispered gently shaking her.

Her eye slowly opened and she smiled when she saw me. I took her hand and we got her backpack out from her cubby onto her shoulders.

"Ready to go?" I asked her and she nodded giving me a hug. she was a quiet one and didn't speak much.

"Hey princess ready to go?" Danny asked, she nodded, he held her hand.

"Uh sorry again for being late" he said

"That's fine" I half smiled. we then just stood there exchanging looks.

"Okay uh okay well bye, Diana" he said blushing. I smiled and said bye.

After spending an hour in the class, cleaning up and sanitizing everything I left back home.
