Day at the lake

"Smalli?"
Archie stuck his head through the door checking if she was awake.
"Hmm?", she groaned still half asleep.
"Uhm the boys n I just decided to go swimming in the park spontaneous. Just thought you might wanna come?"
She rubbed her eyes and thought about his offer for a while.
"Yeah why not."
"Cool. We leave in about.. 15 Minutes."
"Ugh 15 minutes??"
She got up and rummaged through her clothes to find something proper to wear.
"Yes. 15 minutes. We're not going to a fashion show so just wear something lazy you'll change to your bikini anyways so..."
"I got it. Out now I wanna change.", she interrupted him and pushed him out of her room.

Sammy and Archie were sitting on the doorstep, waiting for the boys.
They were already 10 minutes late when they finally arrived.
Sammy could hear their loud music from miles away.
"Get in!!", screamed Tazzy out of the car window waving them over.
Archie got on the co driver's seat and Sammy squeezed between Middy and Johnny in the back.
The volume of the music was probably at 80 or something.
Though they still talked, well screamed, over it.
When My Remedy came on everyone sang along at the top of their lungs.
Sometimes Sammy noticed Johnny's hand streaking her leg but she wasn't sure if it was just accidentally or purposely.
"I hope you guys brought enough beer for me?", Archie laughed-screamed.
Oh please no beer.
"Sure we have. And for each every other too.", Middy answered and pointed at the trunk.

After she hit the sent button she noticed that Johnny looked at the screen from the corner of his eye.
Little stalker boy.
She put her phone back into her pocket but it already started buzzing again.

yaya I already asked her but she's busy.
Come one better say yes before I ask Josh or Niall!!

I think I'm free tmrw I'll text you later today just arrived at the lake.

She loves to go to the cinema but Jordan probably wanted to watch some action movie again.
But he was right, last time she said no so she wouldn't turn him down again.
That's what best friends are there for anyway.
To drag them into some action movie even though they don't want to watch it.
But there was no time thinking about this any further now.
They just arrived at the lake and the boys already started changing.
Well it wasn't really changing.
Basically they just had to take off their shirts.
Sammy didn't feel like changing already.
She never felt that comfortable in nothing but a bikini.
Especially not in public.
She knew that there was nothing to worry about with Archie and the boys but she just felt like staying in her normal clothes for now.
Besides them there were a few other people at the lake but they were not that close to them.
She could see a few girls staring at the boys and she wondered if they were fans or just found them hot.
Well, if they were fans they probably would've come over.
Sammy sat down on her towel and watched the boys fool around.
"Hey Smallie don't you wanna swim with us?"
"Not yet."
She took a book out of her bag and started reading
Recently she barely read anything.
It was time to get more into reading again.
Just like a few years ago when nobody could separate her and her books.
"What are you reading?"
Johnny interrupted her just as she wanted to read the first sentence.
She looked up to him to find out what he's searching for.
Bad idea.
Don't stare Sammy.
She couldn't help but look at his bare chest.
She never really noticed his piercing.
"Sammy?", he asked waving in front of her face.
"Oh uhm I... I'm reading Legend.", she explained totally startled.
"Okay so I have no idea what Legend is but have fun reading. And don't forget that you have a lake in front of you. You can swim in there. You know?", he explained as if she was stupid and simulated swimming moves with his arms.
"I know how to swim now leave me alone!", she laughed and threw a blanket after him.
Just as he turned around to leave three girls appeared behind him.
So they actually are fans.
"Hey, uhm we're sorry to annoy you in your free time but we wanted to ask if we could take a pic together?", one of them asked and put up her phone without waiting for an answer.
"Uh yeah sure.", Johnny smiled, being nice as always.
They took a few pictures and hugged him before they left.
He quickly smiled at Sammy and ran over to the boys who were waiting for him to get into the water.

3 Chapters later she decided to join the boys in the water since they had a lot of fun there.
She quickly changed and made her way towards the boys.
"Uh look who's joining us!!", called Archie and splashed water at her.
"Who said I'm joining you?", she asked and splashed back.
"Well now that you are here there's no going back."
He grinned and waited for her to realize the big mistake she just made.
She looked around to see each of the boys standing on a different side to block her way out of the lake.
"No."
She just signed her death contract.
Archie just put a nasty grin and started swimming towards her.
No no no
What now?
Johnny.
He will probably let her go easily.
She turned towards him and tried to swim as fast as she could.
Archie was a lot fast though.
Apparently she was wrong about Johnny because he swam towards her too.
"Guys you are not going to terrorize me!!"
Sammy screamed, seriously scared.
They are able to do anything that came to their minds.
No matter how crazy it is.
Nobody answered her though so she kept swimming.
Trying to swim through the space between Middy and Tazzy she made another big mistake.
Archie was already right behind her and pulled her back.
He lifted her out of the water and held her up in the air.
"ARCHIE LET ME DOWN!!!"
Finding it amusing how she had no chance against him he let her down shoving her towards the boys.
Of course it was all just fun but they always had the worst ideas.
The boys turned her towards Archie again who was suddenly gone.
When she looked out for the other boys they were gone too.
"Oh no.", she got scared and swam towards the beach again as fast as she could manage.
Suddenly something pulled her down which made her scream like crazy.
Not prepared for diving she swallowed all the water.
She really thought she would die now.
Just then two arms wrapped around her waist and pulled her back up.
Spitting out all the water and coughing she tried to catch her breath again.
"Are you okay?", Johnny asked laughing slightly.
"This is not funny asshole!", she pushed him away and turned to swim back to the beach.
"Hey you know we're just joking!"
He kept laughing and swam after her.
Of course he was faster so he reached her before she could reach the land.
At least she manager to stand on the ground now.
"Hey wait I'm sorry."
He wasn't.
He was still grinning.
At least he tried.
The other boy were still laughing and watching them.
"You're not sorry."
"Yes I am. I'm just laughing because... come on it was funny!?"
He held onto her arm but she pulled away and kept walking towards the land.
Just when she sat down on her blanket again the boys left the water too.
Archie passed a bottle to each of them and they sat down in the sand.

It was already dawning when Johnny came over and sat down next to her.
Sammy ignored him and kept staring at the cracking fire they lit about half an hour ago.
"Don't you want to come over to us?"
"No."
"Oh come on. Are you still mad? We're sorry."
"Johnny why is it always you coming to say that all of you are sorry? If they are sorry too they can open their mouth themselves. You don't have to play mailman for them.", Sammy stated annoyed.
"Okay you are right. Well I am sorry. Come over. Please. I don't want you to sit here all on your own.", he said poking her.
"Why would I want to?"
She got up and took a few steps back.
His pokes was the last thing she needed right now.
"We definitely have more fun over there than you have here on your own."
He looked over to the boys who sang drunkly and joked around.
"I'm not talking to them unless they have the balls to apologize."
"Well then you'll have to tell them. I'm not the mailman anymore.", he shrugged and got up too.
"I'll stay here then."
She really wanted to go with him.
But if she'd go now the boys would think she'd forgive them easily.
There's no way she's going to do that.
"Seriously? Come on, Sams."
"No."
"Please?"
"No."
He sighed and reduced his gaze thinking about something.
When he looked up again he had this weird excusing smile on his lips.
"What?", Sammy asked confused.
He took a few steps forward and picked her up from the ground.
"Johnny. LET ME DOWN!"
With her on his shoulder he walked towards the fire where the boys sat.
They stopped singing to observe what was going on.
Right between Tazzy and Archie he let her down and looked at the boys expectant.
Middy was the first one to realize what Johnny wanted.
"I'm sorry.", Middy said and smiled weakly.
Tazzy and Archie did the same and gestured her to sit down with them.
Johnny sat down too between her and Archie.
"Any song wishes?", Archie asked Sammy and gave the guitar to Johnny.
Sammy shook her head and looked at Johnny who just started jamming some melodies.
"How about Bon Jovi?", he suggested and played the chords for Livin On A Prayer.
"Yes let's do that!!! TOMMY USED TO WORK ON THE DOCKS...", Archie started singing.
After a while everyone joined him and at long last they sang the whole night.
It was long after midnight and Sammy couldn't keep her eyes open anymore. When the boys sang some slow song her head bumped against Johnny's shoulder and she fell asleep.
