"This is perfect."
Sammy smiled at Archie who just played a very very sad melody on his guitar.
"Don't you think it's a little bit too depressing?", he asked, looking a little worried.
"No, it's perfect. This is exactly what the song tells. It fits the lyrics and it's exactly what I want it to sound like."
"Okay then."
Archie turned around and recorded what he just played.
They listened to the completed song afterwards.
"It's amazing. Thank you, Archie."
She leaned down and kissed him on the cheek.
"What's it called? 'the Johnny broke up with me song'", he asked and laughed his ass off.
Sammy just stood there not knowing what to say.
She couldn't laugh at that.
"Hey, Smallie, come on it was just a joke... or is this shit true?"
He still laughed.
Why do boys never realize when they've gone too far?
"You know I'm finished here. I'll go home now because I gotta be fit for tomorrow."
She turned around and left the room.
"Hey, Smallie wait!!"
He came after her.
"Okay now sing a little bit so I can adjust your voice.", said the man behind the mixer.
Sammy nodded at Johnny and they started playing the first song of the setlist.
Instruments were all done for soundcheck and soon voices were too.
After Sammy and Johnny soundchecked she went backstage to get the rest of the boys for Santa Cruz soundcheck.
Archie had already prepared to join her on stage but Johnny told him not to.
Sammy was a bit surprised that he suddenly wanted to play guitar for her but she was glad that he jumped over his shadow and talked to her again.
The boys' dressing room was the biggest mess she has ever seen in her life.
No way she wanted to know what it looks like when they're on tour.
While the boys soundchecked she went outside to meet with Jordan.
They haven't seen each other in about 3 weeks so she asked him to come.
He would've come anyway to see her perform but now that she got him a AAA-pass he arrived earlier.
"Heyyy!!", she greeted him and jumped into his arms.
"Are you okay?", he asked as she stepped back.
"Why wouldn't I be?"
"Because you look pale like a ghost."
"No, I'm fine. It's just the excitement. I mean I've never done this before. And 12000 people isn't like playing on your dad's birthday party.", she laughed and guided him through the halls of the backstage area.
"This is impressive. You are going to be a star, Sams."
"Nah come on. All those people... they come to see Santa Cruz, not me."
"That's because they don't know you yet."
He gave her the - you know I'm right - grin and hit her slightly.
"Your songs are great and they'll love your music style. Believe me. After this show you'll be a lucky famous girl. And you'll have all the boys chasing after you."
"Jord stop it!", she laughed and pushed him, "I don't want to be famous, I just want to make music. And I don't care about the boys chasing after me because you are so wrong about that."
"Ha. Wake up please, Sammy. Your boring college life will be over in 3 hours."
"Yes of course just don't stop dreaming.", she laughed sarcastically.
After a while of walking around they walked past the boys who just finished the soundcheck.
"Hmm you must be the lucky boy who gets to marry my little sister?", Archie smirked at Jordan and punched his shoulder just like boys do.
"Archie..", Sammy shot him a warning glare.
The boys stopped behind him to follow the conversation.
"No actually I'm the guy who's making sure that she marries the right guy.", Jordan smirked.
"Oh dear, that's my role. But two better than one I guess. Already got somebody in mind?"
"Guys I'm here stop talking about my marriage! I can take care of that myself."
"Actually yes I got somebody in mind.", said Jordan ignoring her completely.
"Wait what, who?"
"Yeah who?", asked Archie looking at him and then her.
"I think she knows who I'm talking about."
"Okay this conversation is over now!"
She grabbed Jordan by his arm and pulled him into her dressing room.
"What was that?", she asked angry.
"Just joking, honey.", he laughed and grabbed a bottle of water from the desk in the middle of the room.
"He's gonna ask me forever who you mean from now on!"
"Then get yourself a boyfriend."
"Get out, Jordan!"
"Okay, okay I'm gone!"
The both of them knew that their fights aren't serious.
Even though they sound serious they aren't meant to be.
"Make sure you get frontrow!"
"Will do that!"
