Sammy, still half asleep, could feel something on her head but she wasn't sure if it was real or just a dream.
It wouldn't stop though and it somehow felt too real to be a dream.
Slowly opening her eyes she looked right into beautiful brown orbs who belonged to none other than Johnny.
"Hey.", he whispered and smiled at her warmly.
Sammy returned the smile and reviewed the moments before she fell asleep.
Johnny still had his arm around her shoulder and kept her close to him.
"How late is it?"
"Almost 6pm."
Poor Archie had to spend the whole day on his own.
Probably sick.
"What are you thinking about?"
He stroke some hair out of her face and watched her attentively.
"Archie."
"Don't worry about him. He texted me, he's fine.", he assured her.
"He texted you? Why?"
Probably just checking if she was still alive or something.
"He asked how long you were going to stay. I told him that I had no idea and that you were asleep."
Sammy nodded and grabbed her phone to call him but Johnny took it out of her hands and shoved it back onto the table.
"It's okay if you stay the night."
And where is this coming from now?
"Did he say that?"
Not in a lifetime she would've believe that he would say something like that.
"Well.. let's say he wants some 'Smallie-freetime'."
Johnny smirked and Sammy knew immediately what he meant.
"Okay. No. He is sick. Is he throwing a party? Who's at our place?"
She was about to get up again to get her phone but he pulled her back down.
"He is fine and he won't throw a party. He just got some company that's it."
Pulling her onto his lap he tried to embrace her but she was completely not in the mood to cuddle now.
"Is he dating somebody?"
Johnny sighed and leaned back against the couch.
"I don't know. I mean even if I did I wouldn't say anything about that because it's his job to introduce her to you."
Sammy pinched her eyes and took in a deep breath.
"So you actually know that there is somebody?"
He raised his brows and seemed to think.
Probably trying to remember the moment he gave away what she wanted to know.
"Maybe..."
"Oh come on!!"
Sammy hit his shoulder playfully and shifted back next to him.
"Okay I will tell you. But don't tell him I told you. Just act like you have no idea."
Grinning widely, she turned towards him.
So having the best friend of the brother as.. well boyfriend - more or less - is actually very useful.
"Spill."
He seemed a bit lost that he was actually going to tell her his secret which he obviously kept because this wasn't something real yet but started explaining though.
"So there is this girl...", he stopped and tried to form a proper sentence.
"Aaand?", Sammy rushed him to keep talking, excitedly.
"Well her name is Kira and we met her a few weeks before we finished the tour and Archie came along with her quite good. I didn't know they still texted and all but a few weeks ago he brought her to a party. The didn't kiss but they seemed a bit.. well a bit in love I guess. But as I said I don't know anything further like if they are dating or something."
Sammy wasn't even able to respond.
She was shocked.
Archie and a girl?
In love?
She couldn't even remember a time when he actually dated a girl.
"Can we talk about something else please? This isn't really my favorite topic."
Johnny clearly wanted to make moves but he kept sitting still and watched her reaction.
"Yeah I guess. I'll just wait for him to tell me what's going on."
"That would be the best, yes."
"So what do you want to talk about?"
"You know we don't have to talk at all..."
He smirked and leaned forward to steal another kiss but this time Sammy was faster and put her finger on his lips.
"I'm hungry. Maybe afterwards."
Leaving like that she got up and walked into the kitchen, searching for something eatable.
She already knew that looking for something drinkable without alcohol was like searching for life in outer space.
Johnny had followed her and leaned against the door frame now.
"You don't have muffins, do you?", Sammy asked after looking through every shelf.
"Nah sorry about that.", he walked through the room and hugged her from behind, resting his chin on her shoulder, "I can order Pizza."
"I'm so sick of Pizza to be honest. I haven't eaten anything but Pizza in like 4 weeks."
Johnny laughed, let go of her and grabbed his phone.
"We could have chinese food or kfc or..."
"or we cook something?"
He raised and eyebrow, looking at her unbelievable and lowered the phone.
"You wanna cook?"
"What's wrong about cooking?"
Such a lazy ass.
"Well we need to buy ingredients because I don't have anything you could cook with.."
Sammy sighed annoyed and walked out of the kitchen.
"I hope you're not serious about the 'you could cook with' part, because I expect you to help me."
Johnny laughed and followed her outside to the car.
"It wasn't my idea.. what do you want to cook anyways?"
"We'll see. Maybe spaghetti or something.", she replied as she got into the car with him.
It wasn't a long ride, only about 5 minutes until they reached the next food store.
Sammy led the way through the store and grabbed a package of spaghetti.
As she turned around to ask for Johnny's opinion he was gone.
It wasn't hard to find him though because were would he be if not at the beer.
"So are you going to buy those or can we go?"
He jumped a bit at her words coming from behind him out of the sudden.
"Uh.. well I still got some at home but maybe we need a few more for the next practice."
"Gosh keep it down. You should really stop drinking so much."
Turning around she walked away towards the cashier but then realized that Johnny had the money who needed another 5 minutes to decide whether to take the beer or not.
Who would've guessed that he actually didn't take it with him?
So that must mean he's caring about her not liking it.
Without any more words, they just exchanged a quick, warming smile, they payed and drove back to Johnny's place.
"Hmm I didn't know you were this good at cooking.", Johnny praised as he tasted the fresh-made spaghetti.
"Thanks a lot."
Sammy smiled at him from the other side of the couch and continued eating.
They ate in silence and Johnny brought the dishes back to the kitchen.
"Johnny?"
Giving his full attention to her he sat down right next to her and pulled her close to him.
"When I said you should stop drinking that much.. did you listen to that? Was it the reason you didn't buy it?"
She couldn't see his reaction since her back was against his shoulder but she could feel him breathing out slowly.
"I... Well as I said I still have some bottles so I don't really need them now."
Liar.
Even now he's too selfish to admit it.
Maybe he was just too shy.
Sammy nodded and closed her eyes.
She was still tired even though she had been sleeping earlier.
Last thing she knew was that he kissed the back of her head lightly and pulled her into his arms.
