No playin' Princess

When Sammy woke up the next day Johnny was still asleep next to her.
This was probably the best night she's had within the last two weeks.
Well to be honest it was the first proper sleep.
She got up, opened the curtains and climbed back onto the bed with the guitar in her hand.
It's been ages since the last time she'd touched a guitar.
Must have been about 2 or 3 months.
Strumming a g chord, she noticed that she barely knew anything so far.
Johnny showed her the basic chords G, D, A, C and E but that's it.
Well at least it's not nothing.
After a while of just playing those chords in a random order she noticed that Johnny had been watching her.
"You're getting better.", he smiled and sat up.
He was shirtless which made it pretty hard to focus on his statement.
"Nah it's just simple chords in a random order."
"Don't worry I started like that too..."
Sammy smiled and looked at the guitar.
This one was made for guitar player hands not for simple g or d chords.
Those strings were basically screaming to be strummed.
"I think you better play instead of me."
Johnny shrugged and took the guitar onto his lap.
"Any special wishes?"
Sammy shook her head.
"Okay uhm... oh listen to this. It's just an idea but yeah just listen."
He started playing some chords - also only A and E and so on chords, but it sounded a thousand times better - and whistled a melody.
It sounded quite up cheering, but it also had something that made her feel a bit sad.
"Breathe my old friend and I'll never let you go. Ever again. I've got so much to show."
As soon as he started singing Sammy knew that it was about Archie.
Now it wasn't so up cheering anymore but she liked the song though.
"I really hope Archie makes it, because I will definitely not sing on the album..", Johnny sighed after finishing the song.
"He will. But why don't you sing anyways? You have a great voice."
"Hm..", he shrugged and put the guitar aside to lay back down on the bed, "because I don't really feel comfortable doing it."
Sammy bent down, kissed his cheek which caused him to smile and cuddle against his shoulder.
"Can I convince you to come to the lake with me today?", Johnny asked after a while.
"Today? I need to get back to the hospital."
Sammy's smile faded.
Of course she would want to go but Archie was more important now.
"I know I know. Just one or two hours. And we'll get back right after. Just so you do something different. You need some distraction."
She nodded, even though her mind was already with Archie again.
"Fine. One hour."

"See. It's so beautiful!", Johnny smiled and layed down in the warm sand.
"Yes for the people who don't get sunburned after 5 minutes in the sun..."
He kept laughing and pulled a bottle suncreme out of his bag.
"There you go. So you can enjoy the sun too."
Slightly reluctantly she lubricated the suncreme over her body and sat down next to Johnny who had his eyes closed.
Well at least that's what she expected under his sunglasses.
"Are you asleep or are you watching me secretly?", she asked and put her head on his chest.
"Neither. I'm just trying to relax."
He lifted his right hand, rested it on her belly and stroke it every now and then.
"Trying... doesn't work huh?"
"Just don't think about it. Imagine it's just another day at the lake on which I drag you into the water against your will."
It took her a while to get what he just said but when she did she sat up quickly.
"Don't you dare ever do that again!"
He smirked.
"What if I do?"
Sammy looked at him with the daring 'seriously' look anf raised an eyebrow.
"You won't because I'll go voluntarily."
With that she stood up and walked towards the water.
She wondered if Johnny just watched or followed her but a few seconds later she felt a clap on her butt so he did follow her.
"Don't do that in public!", she hushed at him.
Again Johnny just smirked and walked by her side.
He was the first one to get into the water, Sammy found it too cold to just jump in.
"Come on it's getting warmer if you dive in. Of course it's cold when you just stay there with only your feet in the water.", he explained and splashed some water to her.
"I'm doing it my way, okay? Just keep going, I'll come after you."
"Pfft in a million years.."
Laughing he shook his head and instead of turning around he came back to Sammy.
"You're such a chilblain."
He put his arms around her waist and poked her lips.
"I know but I'm in the water so there is no reason for you to pull me in."
"That is indeed right."
Sammy was already about to turn around to leave as Johnny made her turn back towards him.
"You're not leaving now. Not until I see you in the water. For real."
She sighed and pushed him backwards which caused him to fall into the water.
Taking this as her only chance, she turned and ran away.
There was nowhere to hide but the only thing on her mind right now was RUN.
Run because he is faster for sure.
He will catch her and as soon as this happens she had to be far away from the cold lake.
"You know you can't get away!!", Johnny yelled from somewhere behind her.
Sammy didn't have to turn to know that he was already near.
It was probably very weird to watch them.
A 26 year old haunting a 18 year old.
"Okay, Okay... I.. I give up. Stop."
She shore her hands on her knees and lifted one hand to make him stop in front of her.
"You give up huh? Now you expect me to just drop it?"
He was barely out of breath.
"Be a nice boyfriend."
Sammy shrugged and smiled up to him.
"Ehh. Forget it."
He lifted her off the ground and carried her back towards the water.
Sammy's screams wouldn't help the situation either.
It was funny.
But just until she heard a familiar sound.
The sound of her phone.
"Johnny let me down."
"Oh don't play Princess now."
"No Johnny for real my phone is ringing!"
He stopped and listened for the sound.
Indeed he could hear it too.
As soon as Sammy's feet touched the ground she ran to her bag and grabbed her phone.
"Yes?"
"Sammy? It's about Archie. You need to come. Hurry."
