Some tales are best not recounted as they seem to unveil the same truth,

The dark painful truth, of which

Has caused scars and tears alike.

Sadness, like a numbing drug

Cannot be undone nor reconciled.

This daunting fate that our hearts have the ability to love beyond words

And bare all our flaws and truths.

That on the day we never thought possible,

Love knocked on our doors,

And we welcomed it, arms open wide.

Cherishing the moments, like cruising ships on a sea

But the fate of time proved our many dreams impossible.

To behold a beautiful, gentle soul at a timing as unripe as ours

To stumble upon such bliss at the wrong phase,

Such melancholy! For we'll never know what awaited us beyond

To live and dream is all we can do.
