FORBIDDEN LOVE

COLLAPSES, TEARS AND HEARTBREAKING DECISIONS

I called the ambulance once I finally got crib of myself, I haven't been so scared in my life before,I thought I had lost her..The doctor allowed me to go and see her as soon as they were done with her,she was awake and lying on that bed so helplessly,tears started rolling out of me the moment we made eye contact. She forced a smile that was hard for her to make, just looking at the side of her make my insides turn.

"Mom."I ran into her arms on the bed and started crying."Please don't leave me,I still need you in my life..I need you to see me graduate and get married..please don't leave."I pleaded with her , tears running out and not being able to stop them..

"Sweetie stop crying, I'm fine and I will never leave you...Now stop crying or your going to make me cry."She tries to stay strong for me even though it is tough.

"This is all my fault, I shouldn't have left you all by yourself. "

"Stop blaming yourself Reina, I'm absolutely fine now,the doctor said I could go home in time for your graduation."I lied there beside her not wanting to move..

It was Friday and my mother was discharged from the hospital, or rather she insisted so that she could be at her daughter's graduation ceremony..I was so happy, because I was finally leaving high school and also because my mother was doing better..

After talking to Zayn on the phone about prom my phone rings again and the caller Id says a Tristan..When I answer he asks to meet with me before the graduation ceremony begins,so we decide to meet at the cafe that is close to where we both live.

When I get to the cafe he smiles at me and he stands to give me a hug..We sit down on the site table opposite to each other.."would you like something to drink? "He offers me.

"No thanks, I'm fine."I decline politely.

"How's your mother doing?"He asks.

"My mother is fine Tristan, but I know you didn't call me here to discuss my mother's condition."I get impatient.

"Of course.."After a little silence he finally says,"Does he make you happy?"His facial expression changes from happy to concerned..He realises that I'm confused so he's more specific he says,"Zayn, does he make you happy?"

"But how did you know? "I ask him confused.

"Roxanne."He admits.

"But I haven't....."of course, Rose must've told her."Yes,he does make me happy. "I finally answer him.

"But I thought you liked me?"He takes me by surprise by saying that.

"Your with Molly,you have been with her forever...I'm tired of waiting for you."I finally say.

"Do you still like me?"He asks.

"Truly speaking? Yes I still like you. "I answer him honestly.

"Then why are you with him?leave him and I'll leave Molly then we'll be together."

"You see Tristan, that's the difference between you two, I may like you, but I love him...I believe there is a difference between those two words,just like there is a difference between you two."How can he even think of leaving Molly, that girl loves him..

"I think we are done here,and if you pull another stunt like this again , I'll tell Molly and our friendship will be over."I warn him before going out of the cafe.

Graduation went buy perfectly that evening and everyone got their certificates and we were all happy to finally leave high school..After that me and the girls went shopping for the prom taking place at night..We went to the mall and all the way there they asked me questions about me and Zayn.

"You don't even tell us about you and Zayn I have to hear it from his mother..Are you and Rose now best friends?"Roxanne ask me faking a disappointed face.

"I was going to tell you but I guess Rose beat me into it."I try to defend myself.

"I still consider this a sin, a great sin."Dana says.

"Here we go again sister Dana,girl has your mother gotten into your head?"Rox makes fun of Dana.

Yes I know, the three of us are very different but we work it out just fine really..Dana is the sweet one,her mother is a Christian and she raised her in the house of Christ..Roxanne on the other hand is the wild one that sees everything as right, she has a warm heart like Dana but she likes to act rough..Me on the other hand am stuck in between both their worlds..

"Guys come on,we came here to get dresses remember."I remind them and they both snap out of it..

When I get home I find an ambulance outside our apartment and my heart almost leap out...My mother comes to mind and I rush inside and find her being lifted to be taken away..Tears roll out when I look at her,and then my eyes meet those of my grandma..

"What happened to my mother, what did you say to her that made her that way?"I start questioning her.

"I said nothing, I only found her lying on the floor when I got here and I called the ambulance. "She tries to explain...But I don't wanna hear anything, I just want to be with my mother.so I rush to the ambulance and got in with her.

On ourway to the hospital I texted Zayn and told him about what happened and he said he was on his way..

We got there and again I was put into the waiting room,only this time Zayn and my grandma were there to support me..I felt so save with Zayn's arms wrapped around me..The doctor finally came through and he said my mother wanted to talk to me alone..I looked at Zayn and my grandma then I went into her room..

This time she had pipes on her nose and she wasn't able to see me come through or put on a brave smile to assure me that she was fine...No,she was rather vulnerable,unable to do anything.I went and sat there next to her,again with tears in my eyes..

"I knew it I shouldn't have listened to you and leave you to buy that stupid dress."I try to put on some brave face for her.

"Stop blaming yourself honey..We need to talk."She suddenly sounds serious.

"You're scaring me mom,what's wrong. "

"Honey I'm sick."She starts by saying. "I have lung cancer, and if I don't operate I'll die...And we don't have money for this,so practically I don't have long to live."she speaks as slow as she can to make me understand.

Without saying another word to her I just walk out of her room to the waiting room...I meet Zayn's concerned face and he could tell that something is wrong from a distance.."What's wrong Reina?"He asks me.My granny starts being concerned also.

I don't say a thing, I just sit there opposite my grandma with tears in my eyes not wanting to stop.."I'll get water."Zayn volunteers..

Once he's no longer visible to us at the waiting room without any hesitation I say , "I'll marry him next month when I turn nineteen."

She's shocked by what I just said before saying, "You have to be 25."

"My mother doesn't have that long,I'll marry him next month."I say loudly then after that I hear something falling,when I look I see Zayn's face.."Zayn."I stand up from where I'm sitted,but he just takes off without saying a word.

"Do you still wanna marry ?"my grandma asks me.
