(In The City)
With ease she parks between the white lines, I exit the vehicle and follow her along the crowded pavement.
"It's ten past four so we can't be out shopping for as long as I would've liked but I'll take you to a few of my favourites and the designers there will help get outfits that will go with your style" she beams
We step into a store, soft calm music plays as us, as well as a random girl meander around the store, browsing at item that catch our eyes. Nearly each rack Kayla stops to suggest a clothing item, after I say no at the sparkly, fancy or revelling piece of fabric she gives a sales pitch that doesn't have the slightest effect on me and often ends up getting it for herself.
Half an hour drags by, Swiping her credit card as well as punching in a few digits she pays for five bags of clothing and accessories, three of which are hers. We exit the store, I head for the car.
"We're not done yet" she smirks
She pulls me by the sleeve several minutes up the road, stopping just outside another store, dragging me in immediately she guides me to a display of half a dozen mannequins, all styled with winter and autumn clothing.
"Choose three" She grins
I give her a look of surprise and disbelief.
"Two then" She compromises
I look back to her face to see dead seriousness, softly I sigh before selecting a mannequin dressed in a yellow floral jacket, grey long sleeve top, light blue ripped jeans and black shoes with a slight heel as well the outfit beside, a woollen red jersey, light grey leggings a woven pink, maroon and white scarf with dark brown boots. Skilfully she grabs my sizes and shove them into my arms, before continuing to wonder around the store. A minute barley slips by before a young woman dressed in a uniform offers her assistance, before I can shake my head Kayla gladly accepts her request and accompanies us around the store holding hanger after hanger of clothing up to my chest or hips and stares for a solid few seconds before asking Kayla's thoughts and without my consent either tossing it back or to the building pile of fabric draping over my arm.

Ten minutes after their closing time we exit with three extra plastic bags, while explaining tomorrow's activities we return to the car and lay out bags in the back seats.
"I'm in the mood for.. Sushi, we can go to this really good place down the road unless of course you don't like sushi then—" I tap her arm causing her rambling to be cut short, I reassure her with a nod even though I've never heard or tried 'sushi'.
Eagerly I'm lead down the footpath, stopping briefly at the door before walking straight in and taking our seat across from one and other at a wooden table, after passing me a menu we order our sushi.
"I still can't believe your really here" she laughs
I nod with a small smile as a male waiter begins to pour us two glasses of chilled iced water.
"What was it like? Out there?" She whispers as he turns to leave
'fill of hard work, but rewarding. I'll take you up hiking one day' I write
She smiles lightly at my written words.
Ten minutes of conversation pass before our meal is served,
"I told you this place is good" she states, already on her second piece as I finally manage to get the chopsticks to my mouth
"I've been dying to ask you this all day but... why can't anyone know your back, Nicole?"She asks
I sigh softly
"It's okay if you don't want to tell me, if you ever have anything on your conscious I can be the one you can trust" She explains with a weak grin
My eyes flick up to the corners of the room we're in nearly every one security cameras hang, recording every movement made.
I hesitate, replaying her words in my mind. I can be the one you trust.
'i have a secret' I scribble, getting it down on paper before my instincts tell me otherwise
I slide the note across the table, folded in half, after sipping her water she continues to read the note. Her expression as she gazes up is a mixture of confusion and curiosity.
"So do I" She says sheepishly "I've only told two people, what about you?" She adds, now playing with the ice in her drink
Nerves slowly taking over her confidence.
I hold up three fingers for the three humans I had told, two of them now lay buried a few miles away from my old home.
"It's something you need to know" she mutters while twisting a few strands of her blond hair around her fingers
I nod as a jester for her to continue.
"It's something our parents didn't want us to know..." she says so softly it's presented as a whispers
I take her hand in mine and drag her outside the restaurant, around the corner and half way down the nearest alley. I hand her a slip of paper, spare pencil and a small note.
'write it down and we will swap at the same time' it reads
'i'm the wolf' I scribble as neatly as my writing skills will allow, the three words I wished to tell her since I first shifted at the age of six as she begins to write, using the smooth concrete wall as a surface. Bringing my head up from the paper she turns around and presents to me a folded note, in even quarters I fold my own and we exchange. With the unsettling emotion of nervousness I unfold the slip and begin to read.
'We're not twins...
were triplets...'
